John Ary here, talking horror movies with a legendary director.

Tobe Hooper, the man responsible for the classic Texas Chain Saw Massacre, has a left an indelible mark on the horror genre with his other projects like Salem's Lot, Eaten Alive, and The Funhouse.

I had the chance to chat with him in a hotel lobby as he rolled into town promoting Texas Chainsaw 3D last week. He explains his fondness for the latest film in the franchise, why his original sequel co-written with John Milius fell through in 1980, the pressures of directing Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 and how he shot his latest horror film in the United Arab Emirates without knowing the language.
