“Jersey Shore” is closing down just in time. Last week’s penultimate episode hit a season low of 1.2. The first episode aired this year hit a 4.0.

“Grey’s Anantomy” hit a season low last Thursday, but not an all-time low; it hit a 2.8 last spring. “Grey’s” began this year with a 4.5.

At 8 p.m., NBC’s hour of “Up All Night” and ABC’s long-cancelled “Last Resort” got beaten pretty badly by The CW’s “Vampire Diaries.”
