this latest Joker run has been really well crafted. They keep referencing that the last time they saw Joker was when Batman fought him on a dam. When was that? Sometimes the new 52 time line makes my head hurt.

LOVE the time stamps -- this will make fast forwarding to the comics I've read easier. I kid! (Kinda). Read 'Batman' and 'Cable and X-Force.' Have to say, Batman was excellent -- Cable surprisingly interesting. BUT -- do you guys find the "here's the ending, now let's go to the beginning" idea trite and hackneyed? I think it's more of a gimmick than anything else, and while I dug the comic, I thought the beginning was pointless. Lastly, WHY AREN'T YOU ASSHOLES REVIEWING HAWKEYE?!?!? PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE add it to your pull list. I would LOVE to hear your thoughts. If I don't speak to you again, Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Happy Kwanza, Happy Ramadan, and Happy whatever the hell is celebrated now-a-days.

...Or as I call it "Here's a middle finger to all you geeks who bought this book - Dan Slott" Why oh why do these self-loving writers have to do stupid stupid gimmicky stuff to our favorite heroes? Why can't they just write well crafted, intelligent, FUN comics anymore? What do we get from this? New, darker, Superior Spider-Man? Well fuck that shit. No wonder my Marvel stuff has been dropping off in the last few months. DC isn't doing much better for me either, the New 52 really isn't all that special. Earth 2, being one of the standouts, that and Grant Morrisons Action Comics. The rest range from OK to meh.

I Like Slott's run on ASM I do, but isn't this the same trick as the awful Clone Saga.

Ok granted you don't have some guy showing up out of the blue saying, guess what you've been a clone this whole time. But to say guess what I'm not going to be Spider-Man you can take my body just don't do any bad stuff. WHAT? It's a little mind boggling to me, especially when I just can't see them keeping it that way. I mean he's stolen your body and is going to be living your life, but since he promises to be a hero you're ok with it?

Sorry, no. I don't care how cool with the "with great power comes great...whatever", there's NO way you're going to your death with the "It's ok. Be a good man and you can have my body." Hell, even if there is NO other way for me to win, I would be going kicking (if I could lift my leg) and screaming (or any noise that would come out of my decayed vocal cords), but the hell with "be a good man!" crap! Oh, the curses I would be thinking at him if only at the thought that he would be touching MJ in ANY way. I would be promising revenge from beyond the grave and...well, I think you probably get my drift. A good story, but Spider-Man it's going to be difficult to handle from now on (Slott just ruined Spidey for everyone that might have to write him in the near future). If they ignore the fact that is Dr Oc, then the story was worthless; if they don't, then it can't be the same quippy, happy-go-lucky spidey and they will have to work for the characterization to work (maybe the Avengers -and specially MJ- can detect how different he is?) I'm sure there is something in there about Peter being in Octopus mind and someone will find out how to get him out in a year from now or so, but Octavius in his body is just...I don't know, slimy?
