On an early episode of “Storage Wars,” cast member Darrell Sheets bid on a storage locker that contained cash hidden in the back of a painting. “Well,” I thought, “that looked pretty fucking fake.”

Another early cast member, Dave Hester (the “Yup!” guy) now claims he was fired from the series because he complained that producers were salting and staging the storage lockers.
