Usually Sons of Anarchy gets embedded way below Dancing with the Stars and other crap, but I guess there's no DWTS tonight.
-
That Jax isn't pointing that gun at Tig
-
i don't think its likely but i think its possible
-
she doesnt have time to improve her ratings because she is advising the president on how to raise taxes... http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/obama-consults-msnbc-hosts-sharpton-maddow-tax-rates_665036.html
-
Apparently the title of the episode is french for "I got this" which were not only Opies last words but what Jax said when he killed the prison guard and chibbs said when he killed the black guy. I love how they keep working that phrase in. Clay giving Juice the gun I think is going to be important. We keep seeing the hamlet paralles and while I always thought Opie was going to be laertes now I think i know who gets the poison knife. I wonder if Opie was producers originally plan but changed it. If so, I love how they had clay mention the gun was orignally ment for Opie. I don't think we've seen the last of Wendy. She deserves her revenge too. The big question is will Tig survive. Will Jax betray Pope. I don't see it but maybe. Will things go off as planned for once and Pope get Tig or will tig escape with Clay. Toric. We know he's going to do some damage but how much? Will it be tonight or is he just waiting for next season. With Opie the nomads clay, probably Tig and maybe Juice gone the Sons will need some new members if the show intends to go on for 2 more seasons.

lol at the weekly standard. no one takes that asswipe seriously. bizarre to use as a source.
by dahveed1972
-
I can't see Jax selling out any of the Sons to anybody. If you look back everything that Tig did that was messed up it was a direct result of Clay's lies and Tig being loyal to the club leadership...for Jax to handover Tig to Pope would kill any respect he has left after what he did to his ex...gonna be a showdown! I hope it doesn't disappoint.
-
The weekly standard got it from a huff post reporter...is that an asswipe pub too? are you saying its false?
-
Yet all of BOR's picks Nov. 6 lost, while maddow's won. Just goes to show that your ratings can be great, but it's better to have a smaller audience of intelligent viewers, versus a VAST audience of imbeciles.
-
Tig killed Donna. Tig killed Popes daughter which got opie killed. Then Tig killed the prison guard's wife proving he's learned nothing. I love the character and hope he makes it out the episode alive but he's a bad person to have on the team. He's impulsive and a liability. Jax's ruthlessness is out of a desire to avenge Opie and outside of Clay no one has done more to hurt opie then tig.
-
I regularly listen to his podcast ... funny guy ... except for when he talks politics because you can tell he has no idea what he's talking about.

it's pretty much guaranteed that SOA will put us through the ringer tonight. I'm actually hesistant to even watch.
by Uncle Pooky
Sutter et al have had no problems whatsoever being brutally tragic this season. Finales are when you go balls to the wall... and they've been that way since episode 1 this year.
-
stop procrastenating, Rachel maddow has a much larger audience in the all important 18-49 group. bill wishes he could have those ratings
-
either clay or juice, or both, will die tonight. maybe tig, too

Ben & Kate is the most consistently funny show on TV this year

Such a gem. Always makes me laugh. Back to back with New Girl is gold.

I can't imagine SOA without Tig, I don't think he's going anywhere with two full seasons left.
by Monolith_Jones
Same goes for Clay, he's too good of an antagonist to let go.
-

Anybody see Raising Hope? Filthy Phil was on - not just the actor, the character!
by Monolith_Jones
The actor was on for a quick scene and he had the SOA "cut" on. It wasn't mentioned at all which made it funnier.

Ive only been watching since the beginning of this season, but despite not know all the plot points, gotta say this show is pretty damn good.
by dahveed1972
-
Brought you by the people that thought Romney was going to have a huge night.
-
Fuck man, that was a great season finale. That last shot was damned disturbing.
-
...had Tara arrested? It just seems too obvious that Gemma did it.
-
Though it'd have to come out sooner or later. Tara getting arrested is a let-down as far as season finales go, Bobby giving up vp was a bigger deal. The scene with Pope and Tig was intense, even though I was pretty sure it was a set-up it was still really well done. Jax sure took a big risk though. And then Otto. That's all I have to say, Otto. Overall really good episode with a weak ending.
-
I just finished watching it and damn i didnt see pope getting killed so quickly. Overall it was a mediocre episode. I dont know why. it was very disturbing I actually felt sorry for clay. I dont know why after all the crazy shit he's done. this time he's actually innocent. the balance of justice was off... Also gemma setting up tara was fucked up. But even Jax has to admit being in charming is not right for the kids, and they will repeat the cycle if they dont leave.
-
I loved it when Ben wasstanding outside and naming off tree names and then got attacked by the bats.
-
knew the hit squad would be pointed in his direction, didn't know he was going to jail, but makes sense. only way out is if juice gives an alibi -- his guilt is getting to him. some crazy jail break? that might be too over the top even for this show. if he does get out, still has the irish in his corner, and probably won't be so sorry anymore. don't get the tara thing -- seems like a dumb plan on gemma's part -- once jax finds out, which would be almost immediately, that she went to jail because of his mom, i don't think he would want her around the kids anymore, so seems pointless. does he let her around the kids if she recants the statement? gemma says she'll only recant if they stay? just don't see how this plays out in her favor -- seems like it would be resolved pretty quick. seems dumb. seems like she wouldve told jax when she was being dragged out in cuffs.
-
he has done some pretty messed up stuff lately. gemma told him what she found out, what she planned, he signed off on it to keep his sons in town?
-
Dec. 5, 2012, 12:37 a.m. CST
Jax's plan to frame clay was a stroke of genius, never saw that coming.
by Uncle Pooky
Pretty shocking that Pope was the only character of note to die. I think we all built it up in our heads that there were going to be several big deaths.
-
Dec. 5, 2012, 12:47 a.m. CST
also, Artguy is probably on to something with the Marshall ratting out Tara
by Uncle Pooky
Gemma is too ingrained in the culture to go to the cops, I would think... I know she lied to them about Clay, but their presence was forced upon her in that situation. Going to them on her own is another matter.
-
His sons matter more then anything else, even Tara.... And if I'm right, what lays ahead is going to dark and the endgame will be bloody. Will anyone be left standing this time next year.. It's possible no one may make it.
-
but he would have to be a psychic, because she told him she was leaving immediately before they heard a knock at the door. That said I thought Tigg was a goner too, but I was dead wrong on that.
-
is a shit president. America is filled with dummies..
-
Dec. 5, 2012, 6:18 a.m. CST
The thing is that no matter what the Otto thing falls on the club, it's not like Tara is going to take the fall alone.
by Monolith_Jones
I don't think Jax has a really good reason to set up Tara, it would only be a temporary fix to keep his kids in Charming. Never mind the fact that not so deep down he knows Tara is right.
-
Dec. 5, 2012, 6:43 a.m. CST
Prediction: I believe that when the series comes to an end, the only thing left of Otto will be a toe, get it? Otto/A Toe. bwahahahaha!
by art123guy
It'll be kept alive in a fish tank like Ricky Verona from Crank 2.
-
This was the episode where Ben does something stupid and Kate overreacts because she's uptight and he's laid back but in the end they still love each other because they're siblings. I just want to see the black dude and the english chick do it.
-

rabidrudolph--I don't think it was Jax, he seemed suprised by the papers Tara wanted him to sign. I still say it was the Marshall who I think will be a...
by art123guy
...big part of next season. And was the final shot reminiscent of the ending of last season and the photo of Gemma and John Teller? We've seen Clay broken down to a shell of a man this season, next season he'll be back to the badass he was.

Pope was one of the least menacing villains I've ever seen
by Monolith_Jones
I'm glad he's gone.
-
in fact, i thought he was going to kill Roosevelt and his deputy at one point to save her
-
Clay will spend most of the next season in prison, protected by the Irish and whoever else he needs to make deals with in order to stay alive. This allows him to get out once the case falls apart (after Jax and Roosevelt's collusion to make the case are somehow revealed, or threatened to be, perhaps?), and then sets Clay up to get into a position for the big final season showdown that we all expect Season 7 to be. Basically putting Clay on ice for a while in preparation for the endgame was the only thing left for Sutter to be able to believably keep the character alive and around, after everything he has done, and everything has come out. Even though Tara won't go to prison, or at least won't stay in prison long term, her way out has just evaporated forever. She is now trapped in Charming, and she is not going to deal with that fact well. I think she'll lose her shit and be dead by the end of next season. Maybe by her own hand after she finds out that Jax is the reason she went inside. Gemma told Jax, and Jax arranged the arrest with Roosevelt. Jax arrived home, saw that what he was told was true, opened the door, and let Roosevelt arrest her. He probably had the option of calling it off at the door, but chose to let it all go down. My conspiracy theory anyway. Through blatant manipulation and under the table lies Jax has now managed to alienate much of what remains of the original club. I wouldn't be surprised if Tig, Juice and even Bobby end up back over on Clay's side by next season's end after all the shit that Jax has pulled. Especially as he has shown himself to be no better than Clay. His whole Last Great Hope for the Club tag is pretty much tarnished beyond repair at this point. He has also damaged and tried to forcibly manipulate so many relationships with other clubs and other outside power players - the irish, the russians, the one-niners, the cia, the city council, the charming PD (including getting his hooks deeper and deeper into Roosevelt), the feds, Pope's empire (now run by August Marks, who clearly knows what Jax did), the white supremacists, and so on, that some of that has to blow back on him in a pretty big way at some point. I think next season is going to be all about putting each of the final players in place, and tightening all he screws, then season 7 will explode into a river of blood as it brings everything into play. We shall see.
-
Why would he stand there and put on the act of acting surprised when he opened the door to find Roosevelt standing there? Why keep trying to get rid of him? Tara was in the other room, and there would have been no logical reason for a pair of conspirators to put on a play for just themselves. My money is on the Marshall. I know Gemma threatened, but I'm thinking she either backed down or never got the chance to follow through. You can see it on her face when she arrives at the house and sees Tara in the back of the squad-car. There is no smug self-satisfaction. No 'Got you bitch' stare. She actually looks a little confused and surprised that someone else did her job for her. Still, Tara probably assumes it WAS Gemma, and that should make for some really interesting stuff once Tara gets the chance to tell Jax.
-
Jax clearly doesn't trust Tig or Juice
-
Dec. 5, 2012, 11:16 a.m. CST
sunwukong86-Thant would be my guess. Chibs was VP for a short time before Bobby got out.

i could see the seargants patch going to tig though, as reconciliation for jax risking his life with pope. i doubt it though, as tigs unstable but i wouldnt be suprised. my moneys on hap though
-
you write about 'the return of storage wars' but you never write about superjail! the season finale is sunday at 12:15on [AS]-check it out herc and see if you like it-does anyone on here like superjail? im just curious.
-
Season 1 was still the best one, definitely check that one out. As for this episode, what did Gemma say at the end? I couldn't really hear it over the music.
-
the white supremacist guys made such good antagonists
-
Dec. 5, 2012, 12:56 p.m. CST
Personally, I think season 2 is the best. In either case, be aware that season 3 was the worst. (Except the final 20 minutes of the last episode).
by art123guy
-
I don't think Clay will die, he can manipulate his way out of any situation. Gemma is safe for now, and I don't think Sutter would kill off his wife Honestly I think Tig and Juice will both die at some point. I was sure Juice was a goner this season. Im starting to question wether Jax and/or Tara will survive the series. Especially Jax
-
He's stated that the only person guaranteed to be alive when the show ends is Jax. Everyone else is fair game to meet Mr. Mayhem.

sunwukong86--If Sutter could have his wife gang raped on TV, I doubt he's have a problem killing her.
by art123guy
-
I remember reading something about that which makes me think that if it was her who ratted Tara out - not the Marshall (can't believe some people think it was Jax - that's just plain stupid) then I wouldn't be suprised if Jax kills Gemma next season. If I hadn't read that news, I never would have considered it. I never thought Sutter would kill his wife's character off but now I think it's a possibility. Honestly, I know everyone wants Clay dead so much they consider the end of season 4 a great disappointment (I didn't) but I'd rather it be Gemma at this point. Especially after that scene with Tara in the hospital.

if theyre following the hamlet model isnt jax supposed to die at the end?
by jsfithaca
huh. if theyre not following the ending to hamlet though i guess anythings possible. i do still think that jax will kill clay, and tara will commit suicide a la ophelia. juice and tig will also probably die. i really hope chibs, bobby and happy all survive though. i feel like gemma will somehow manipulate her way to surviving, and she'll do some really fucked up things toward the end of season 7, that ensure her survival and her being a part of her family, but at enormous cost to jax and others. i also think nero will survive but he'll either be in jail or permanetely stuck in the gang life. and what is sutters next series gonna be about?
-

We should all be able to agree that Smits was an outstanding addition to the show and earned a prominent season 6 role.

Jax, of course, will survive. He may be out of the club but he'll be alive.
by Monolith_Jones
I think they'll end it with Jax getting away from the club with his kids. Two more seasons seems a little much though
-
I think his name is Phil? He doesn't look like he belongs on the show at all.
-
What could the Marshall say to initiate an arrest? He's knows what happened but isn't in a position to prove shit and hasn't witnessed anything re: Otto killing his sister. As for Jax being in on it, lol, please. Of course its Gemma. She arrives at the house just as Tara is being taken away, no suprise or reaction on her face, just looks at Tara and walks inside.
-

SOA has sucked saince last season finale - just kill Clay for gods sake you pussy Jax
by FrodoFraggins
-
It was Jax. The biker chick lawyer sold her out and told him about the papers. Pussy can't be trusted.
-
yeah, a little out of place, but for some reason, I think he's awesome. Also, in response to the responses to a previous post - yeah, Season 3 was bleh. You get some important info but overall, the season lacked. Can't remember if the finale is the one I'm thinking of (Opie and the Fed) but if it is, it was so fuckin' gratifying.
-
Even the actresses who play Tara and the lawyer almost cracked up laughing during one scene when Otto and his tongue was mentioned. That scene was gruesome, I had my eyes half closed, but I couldn't stop laughing.
-

I used to think Clay would be the last one standing, like Vic Mackey in The Shield. But...
by Hardboiled Wonderland
... it'd be a huge letdown if Sutter repeats the Shield, and ends the show with Clay surviving like Vic Mackey. I also used to think Jax would go the way of his old man at the end, and the series would finish with one of Jax's kids riding a bike. But if Sutter says Jax is the only one guaranteed to survive, well I believe him... but is he throwing us a curve ball?
-

untidy--What could the Marshall say to initiate an arrest? The same way he was able to get into see Otto and beat the crap out of him and...
by art123guy
...the same way he knew all about Tara and the Sons. Unser told Jax that the Marshall had been forced into retirement for being too rough amongst other dirty tactics. He obviously still has friend in high places. Plus, now that Otto can't speak, what options does the Marshall have to get justice? Why bring in the character if he isn't gonna be a force to recon with, especially since he was written into this which will play a big part of next season. Sure, it could be Gemma, but it just seems waaaaay to obvious since she actually said she was gonna do it. I think Gemma had no reaction because she realized she got what she wanted and didn't have to do a thing. And how could anyone believe Gemma since she gave the cops major info on 2 murders involving the Sons...in the same day (or so). Gemma to the cops: "Yea, Clay said he was gonna fix things with Pope then walked out of here with a gun. Oh, and Tara asked me for the cross that she gave Otto which he used to kill the nurse. And by the way, I also know where Hoffa is buried if you are interested."
-
Wrote the best, most intriguing season of that show he ever has and it was all just a set up to get to the next season... Worse than every movie ending to ensure a sequel.
-
It's not funny at all forced and predictable comedy. To even mention it in the same breath as New Girl, one of the funnest shows on TV, is a crime.
-
Using connections to get info and access is a hell of a lot different from just saying the word to get someone arrested for (I'm assuming) accessory to murder - just could not happen, even in the world of Sons of Anarchy. No way he's got that kinda pull, especially so seeing as he's been dismissed in controversial circumstances. Agree that he'll be a force to be reckoned with next season, but in my opinion there's nothing he could have done to trigger that arrest. I actually thought Gemma being at the police station actually tied it all together even tighter. Gives her statement re: Clay, then says there's something else you need to know etc. Gives up Tara, cops drive to Tara's place, Gemma turns up straight from the police station 10 minutes later to see the results of her handy work.

killing Opie was a waste. Could have killed Tara or one of Jaxs real sons instead. Heck, hes got two! I miss Opie in ever episode. So does the series. They burned Tig's Daughter alive. After the first two death's this year we are numb to it all, even the Otto Biting Off More Than He Can Chew scene. There is a serious lack of members in the club now. Star members. Losing Opie, Clay and even losing the guy last year from the Shield has diminished the quality and quantity of the club. And bringing in more 'red shirt' new faces isn't going to help. The Nomad members coming in, turning heel and getting wasted proved that. SOA is not above stunt casting, and I think a few members from other charters should show up, use a few good actors and a few well know faces( love to see Zakk Wylde). Even for cameos. Get us to invest again, because right now no one is even going to flinch when telling a friend " yeah last episode they killed Bobby off." My college age friend who sometimes watches the show with me claims " they are all old creepers now! " And she's mostly right. She also claims SOA is a soap opera for men. Hard to admit that, but if Opie's twin brother ( played by Ryan Hurst ) shows up next year, I will not complain.

how can so many love Walt from BB and hate Clay ? Clay is as important to the story as Jax is (so is Gemma). And Clay dies in the last two episodes of the series or not at all. Sure he is a horrible human being. But a great character. Ron Perlman is fucking immortal. Beast, Hellboy, One, Slade Wilson, Zeno, Amoukar, & mutha fuckin Conan's Daddy. Is he your Daddy ?

@horaceskinner, I don't love Walt! He's a great character to watch, but I hate his fucking guts.

Same for Clay. I also hate Jax now. He's become the very thing he hated in Clay. I'm rooting for Filthy Phil now.

@horace, yeah the Sons are dead. Bobbie knows it, but the rest haven't figured it out yet.
