Last week everybody began to suffocate, the girl got shot, and Elizabeth Mitchell’s character, apparently having seen the third-season finale of “Breaking Bad,” killed the other scientist who could create the amulet amplifier.
NBC says of tonight’s “Nobody’s Fault But Mine”:
In the gang's quest to rescue Danny (Graham Rogers), the time has come for Miles (Billy Burke) and Monroe (David Lyons) to meet face to face. Meanwhile, on the verge of reuniting with her brother, Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) is conflicted by a shocking discovery and Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) tests Monroe's patience.

Last week the Monday edition of “The Voice” hit a season low, as did the Tuesday edition.
“Catfish” has emerged as a pretty big hit for MTV. Last week’s 1.7 beat the last four new airings of “Jersey Shore.”
A repeat of “Two and a Half Men” last week beat the last new episode of CBS’ “Partners.”

I really wanted to like the new Soundgarden album, but I just didn't.
by Uncle Pooky
I only got one track off it, "Rowing."
-
Is ok. Sometimes. Not that great though.
-
Just because a website that supposedly prides itself on being on top of movie and TV news can't seem to be bothered to point out the guy died about 4 days ago now...
-
but the old stuff is so good it isn't fair to compare. One can never live up to the old classic stuff. I think that is why Lucas sold star wars to disney
-
The second week in a row Revolution had a Led Zep song as the ep title. Kripke must be a fan. Although I must say I enjoyed the use of Kashmir last episode.
-
Revolution will not survive the winter. March 25? Wtf are they thinking?

Larry Hagman was in Superman 1. That good enough to be mentioned?
by Eddvis
He was the Major who tries to give Ms. Tessmacher mouth to mouth. Is that enough to get him a mention on AICN? He also directed Beware the Blob. That good enough? How about he played one of the most iconic characters on television, EVER? And is known at least as JR Ewing all over the world. Seriously... still... He was also Major Nelosn on I Dream of Jeannie, and Barbara Eden was hot, back in the day... Still nothing... How about Dallas was set in Texas and Austin is ALSO in Texas. Still not enough huh? How about this... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001306/ Just saying people have been eulogized on this site for having done much much less.

So this will be the last Revolution episode to get good ratings?
by Rob0729
Hasn't NBC learned from all the other scifi anthologies that saw their ratings collapse after three month hiatuses? Jericho was a hit until it went on an extended break.Fastforward went from so-so ratings to ratings disaster. Revolution is the first scripted ratings success that NBC has had since Steve Carrell left The Office and they are going to blow it.

RIP to all those who died after hearing the greatest voice in rock music fuck his musical past into R&B oblivion

It's ridiculous that there hasn't been an obit for Hagman. It's only the guy that set the standard for tv villains. A legend all over the world deserves better. Shame on you, aintitcool.
-

-
Too bad he wasn't an obscure actor that only AICN writers heard of. He would have, like, 10 obits and talkbackers would think "Who the hell is this?".
-
IF somebody at aicn does one, the delay will most likely be attributed to them wanting to make sure it was an extra super special obit that they wanted to get juuuuust right, and we're all dicks for badgering them about it, and/or they were just too darned busy with other stuff, with maybe a little dash of Harry's health problems to make it nice and personal. It baffles me when they pull shit like this- is it to generate hits, do they think we just won't notice, do they genuinely not give a shit- it's a head-scratcher for sure. Mighty unprofessional from any angle.
-
they got helicopters to work. didn't see that coming. oh, wait, maybe I did. because I watched the promo.
-
is finally laid bare -- the quarrel between former lovers Miles and Monroe. After being spurned by Miles, Monroe has been trying to overcompensate ever since, by amassing an army and cache of weapons, in a world where the lack of electricity also means that lifts can no longer be made for undersized militia leaders. To lure him back, he abducts Miles' nephew, only to discover that there were be no more tender moments playing in the fields, by the water. Tune next year to see what happens next...

I'm torn on Revolution. I watch it regularly (via DVR), but don't love it. The concept is there, but something is just missing. I'm not sure if its the production value, the acting, or whatever. It's one of those shows that I've invested too much time in to stop watching, so I guess I'm along for the ride. I'm not sure if I am not buying people gave up their guns, or that the Monroe's army uses black powder rifles instead of cartridge based rifles (when they own all the guns apparently), but something is off. I'm a slave to the show at this point, so I will endure it til the end.
-
Last night may have been the worst thing that show has ever aired, and that's saying something for a show with increasingly poor quality. Awful, and incredibly stupid, too.
-
Learn to let go man. The show is crap.
-
The comment above about it being like Jericho is pretty close. NBC is killing it by shelving it for 4 months. At least they didn't bounce it around on the schedule. Here is my problem with Revolution. WTF is the 'event'? Everything just shut down and it's waiting for power? So, solar panels don't work? Wind generators? Hydro? They showed a big machine last week that I assume is shutting it down, but they've explained nothing about the rules here. So a steam locomotive works, but a steam generator doesn't?

Revolution - so the opening scene didn't shut you "gun vs. sword" haters up?
by blhotz
Oh wait, that's right. You are haters... haters going to hate. Revolution has a lot of small issues but many of the complainers are idiots who overthink and are usually just plain wrong.
-
Ok, explain to me how they can make a mid 30 something Alyson Hannigan look in her mid to late 20s for the most part in the show, but when they do a flashback to her as a teenager she looks 45?
-
I did get a few laughs out of it. Found the Wire reference funny ("Lilly coming ").
-
inhibits electrical currents. The pendants not only counteract this but actually power objects (I assume that's what they were originally going for when they were trying to make a green-energy machine but inadvertently created the power-negating machine). My question: was the amplifier on the helicopter? Otherwise, even amplified, it would still have a range, right? I'm guessing they get away when the helicopter comes at them then crashes as it moves beyond the amplifier's range.
-
R.I.P. Last Resort.
-
Do they need electricity to make more ammo?
-
This show is terrible. The whole planet has no power unless you are carrying the magical necklace... lame crap
-
it's just that the materials needed are much more scarce. On the other hand, if they are using muskets they obviously have enough gun powder. I guess they prefer to give the lowly soldiers the one-shot muskets so they don't waste bullets, which would need to be hand-made. Or maybe it's just a conceit so the characters have to fight with swords.
-
I tweeted to Harry about this a couple of days ago, when he posted a picture of a massive papier-mache Popeye head that he apparently bought and was, for some reason, super proud of. He said Hagman was a TV figure and this was Hercules's call. Because, after all, Herc is a completely autonomous figure at AICN, and it's his avatar in the upper left when you visit the site. No, I think this was a case of Herc completely dropping the ball, and there being so much fuss about it, he's not fixing it or commenting about it out of sheer spite. And Harry, who could remedy the situation in literally two minutes, passes the buck to an employee.

It isn't that difficult to make bullets. You need the brass casings which they would have to save from spent bullets. But the part that flies out of the gun is cast lead same thing as a musket ball.
by Drew
Basically the modern bullet takes out the step of packing the gun powder by having it prepacked in the brass casing. Anyway the muskets are just a device to drive the olde tymeness of the program along with the swords.
-
They pacing is extremely slow... I wanted to like it but... meh... 1. With all the brass, etc. They could easily reload for quite some time before having to resign to using muskets. 2. Why do people 15 years after a black out look better than people before the black out? Hair, make-up, clothing, etc. 3. So, apparently it wasn't an EMP that took out all the electronics. First, why would the defense department want to turn off the power grid? Just locate and destroy the device that's suppressing the power. If it was an EMP that took everything out - that crappy necklace wouldn't fix it. 4. Travel - older cars don't rely upon electronics. I'd be cruising around in a Barracuda. Also, no mountain bikes survived the blackout?

I really love the "King Animal" album cover. It brought back old childhood memories of the album artwork from Saxon, etc. When I was in the process of downloading "King Animal" - I chose shuffle mode. As I patiently waited, I revisited "Down on the Upside." As soon as "Boot Camp" ended - "A Thousand Days Before" cranked up. The transition was flawless. “A Thousand Days Before” sounds better on the album. It doesn't play well live. Yeah, I like Chris Cornell too. I wasn't a big “Audioslave” fan. It had a few good songs, but it sounded too much like “Rage Against the Machine” with Chris Cornell subbing in for Zack de la Rocha. I've always loved Soundgarden's crazy time signatures and their melodic psychedelic guitar riffs. They nearly have an Asian influence to them. The songs written by Kim Thayil, imho, are the best. Thayil wrote “Nothing to Say”, “Flower”, “Hands all Over”, “Jesus Christ Pose”, “My Wave”, and “Superunknown” on their previous albums. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQOOgQtLI4M It's hard to believe approximately fifteen years have passed. I just hope it doesn't take another fifteen years for another album. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/albumreviews/king-animal-20121112

That I don't see a revolution!. They show the tyrant and his men, they mention rebels, but all they show is the hot girl with the uncle and the friends running after the brother, and then the Mom being a prisoner of the tyrant. It is all about the family of the hot girl. They might as well have called this show a different name like Blackout, Without Power, or whatever.
