I reckon chapters five and six take us almost three-quarters through the pilot episode -- depicting the adventures of young William Adama during Cylon War I.

There's somthing weird about this embed.  For some reason it starts by playing episode one of this series.  Just hit the skip chapter button after the episode starts and it will take you to episodes five and six:

Episode seven and eight arrive next Friday.

    Ditto on waiting.

    I don't want to wait.

Why didn't The Plan ever show up on Netflix?

    by jimbojones123

    Seriously.

    +3 on Waiting

    by Zod_

Watching a TV show in mini segments is damned annoying. I'll either wait until they're all available for download or watch it on bluray (it'll be pretty annoying if the webisodes have last time on and stuff.. it would really destroy the flow of the show).

  • Nov. 23, 2012, 8:15 p.m. CST

This looks terrible, how isn't it cancelled already?

Is it me or is AICN...

    by WeylandYutani

crappy at posting links. Half the time they don't work as embedded on the page and I have to search out alternate links for movie trailers on YouTube, yahoo or on Apple movie trailers. It seems for B&C they have not posted part 5&6 but instead part 1 is posted. They did the same last week for parts 3&4. Is it just me?

  • Nov. 23, 2012, 8:28 p.m. CST

    As for B&C...

    by WeylandYutani

So far it's pretty interesting. But, I wonder why they did not get Nico Cortez, from Razor, to reprise his role as the younger Adama? I guess he was unavailable? The kid in this series seems a bit young and too pretty, Olmos was never traditionally handsome guy. Question: For fans that know BSG canon better than I do, does B&C fit into the continuity of the series, in termed of the age of Adama as a young man etc?

  • Nov. 23, 2012, 8:49 p.m. CST

    weyland

    by Sairnath

It somewhat fits as Adama in B&C is a fresh pilot while the events in Razor were at the very end of the war with an armistice being signed in the last flashback.

Thx for clarifying. I should really watch the series again. I was recently given the boxed set on video... I remember the broad strokes, but I'm a bit fuzzy on the details.

    The Snake...

    by Jonathan

The snake in this video is a lot smaller than the robo-snake in the concept art that was put out a long time ago. I'm a little disappointed. In the concept art it was like anaconda-snake big. Here.... not so much.

Damn, this Blood & Chrome is fun!

    by Stereotypical Evil Archer

Frakin' lens flares are annoying as fuck, but this is a hard-nosed story with a high body count! Yeah, the Cylon snake was way too small, but hey, it's obviously an extremely low budget. I would actually watch SyFy if this was on for an hour each week!

  • We'll miss you JR Ewing.

I see some ex-Stargate actors involved in this...

    by Bill Clay

Looks good, don't even notice the green screen effects in most scenes. This has to be super cheap to produce, what has SyFy got to lose by showing it on television?

  • Nov. 24, 2012, 4:52 p.m. CST

Are they gonna explain how Adama got his pock-marked face?

    by Royston Lodge

This kid should be covered with fucking acne, shouldn't he?

  • Nov. 24, 2012, 5:15 p.m. CST

They appear to have stumbled upon Hoth.

    by Royston Lodge

Too bad the creature wasn't a Wampa.

    Why no classic-style centurions?

    by Royston Lodge

    Let-down!

  • fucking syfy. this would have been a huge fucking hit.

    'They're Angels'.

    by Raptor Jesus

    'God did it'.

  • Sure at times they overstretch with the ambition of some of the shots, but overall it still feels like a proper BSG show even though they didn't have much of a real set to put the actors into. That Raptor is all that was a full on set I'm guessing. The space battle stuff is really great though. I'm bummed that this can't end up being a full on show or longer miniseries. I know it is probably expensive to do all the background CGI and effects, but if this got picked up as a show they could build some full sets like BSG and Caprica did. Also, it isn't like every single episode is going to be as action-packed as this extended pilot movie. BSG was like that in the big effects sequences for battles were seen mostly in the beginning and endings of the seasons, with a few smaller ones in the mid-season. As with any show, you have episodes with more character focus and less flash and bang. That would mean that not every episode would cost as much as this pilot episode we've been seeing as a web-series. I think people who haven't seen BSG or Caprica yet, could still get into Blood & Chrome. Then they might want to learn more about the BSG-verse and seek out the other two shows. This would also open up a great opportunity for SyFy to rerun both BSG and Caprica before or after each new episode of Blood & Chrome. That is two full hours of programming that is better than more crap reality TV, but is also produced and ready to go. They might actually have a chance to gain something extra from their BSG and Caprica investments. Isn't that part of why Hollywood is all about franchising these days? Building a brand name show or movie saga gets people to check out the old stuff again too. Think about it, SyFy could have a pretty good lineup of actual scripted shows if they re-broadcast BSG and Caprica along with a new series in Blood & Chrome. They'd have the three BSG shows, this new Defiance show/MMO thing, Alphas, Being Human, Canada's Lost Girl, and the upcoming Continuum which is another Canadian show they are planning on rebroadcasting. Riddle me this folks, why are they rebroadcasting Canadian shows, yet they sit on a critically acclaimed show like BSG? In a few years, there will be a whole new group of viewers that could get into BSG and Caprica, along with B&C too. BSG and its spin-offs are like Lost. They are shows that engage discussion and theories on forums and all that stuff that exists beyond the TV channel. Why not let a new generation discover all that? It seems like it would pay larger rewards than lame reality show antics that will be forgotten by most viewers seconds after they shut off the TV. Of course, by this logic they could have done more with FarScape and also not have killed off StarGate either, but that is what they seem to be doing. Kill all your good scripted science fiction shows for reality TV. Now, I see why they would want to broaden their viewer base beyond just science fiction and fantasy type fare, but the answer to that is not wrestling and reality TV, nor is it killing off your two bread and butter shows (BSG and StarGate) at the drop of a hat one day. Yes, I know Bryan Singer has his supposed Battlestar movie remake sitting around in development hell, but we haven't heard much on it since Valkyrie was a new release and since then he's already made that giant killer movie and is moving onto more X-Men next. So why kill off BSG if no one else is going to do anything with it anyways?

  • So I think this might appeal more to the fans of the original BSG who weren't as thrilled with the darker direction that the reboot took. It really does have a nice balance of the two, without getting as dismal as the recent series nor as silly and cheesy as the originals. It actually makes me wonder what the hell Bryan Singer will actually be able to do with BSG if he ends up making the big budget movie version. I'd hate to see him erase all that was built here with the recent TV versions just for the sake of being different or coddling the nostalgic whims of the fans of the original series from the late 70's. I can't see Singer's BSG being anything a whole lot different than Blood & Chrome. If he goes old school BSG cheesy it will feel stupid and silly. If he tries to go darker than Blood & Chrome, he will just be copying the Ron Moore version. Seeing Blood & Chrome now, it really does seem to have the perfect vibe in terms of satisfying fans of both BSG camps (epic space battles, less archetypal stock characters, serious enough but also still fun, more about characters and drama and less of the religious/spiritual philosophizing that crept into Ron Moore's version). Don't get me wrong, as I loved Ron Moore's re-imagined BSG as well as really enjoying the flawed but ambitious Caprica... but at the same time I know that both shows were not everyone's cup of tea. Now with Blood & Chrome, I think we got some Battlestar that is not only new as opposed to another remake, as well as appealing to a broader audience. What a wasted opportunity if SyFy and Universal just let this fizzle out.

Re : icetitan About It Hasn't Been Canceled

    by Real Deal

Because unlike you a lot of people here (myself included ) like it! I think it would make a good series. Much better than what SYFY's got on now.

  • Watched the first two and was so annoyed I didn't have the rest.

  • I seem to recall reading ages ago that this was one of those things where they thought it'd be cheap. However when you actually do it, it's quite expensive. There's lots of cheats though, with glow and flares to disguise the compositing. Spartacus, especially the latest season showed how well a green screen, stylized show can look on tv.

  • Basically it will be a lame romance movie about a love triangle between Starbuck (played by some pretty boy type pretending to be a hard ass), Apollo (a preppy pretty boy actor who will probably be even younger than the actor playing Bill Adama in Blood & Chrome), and Kristen Stewart as Athena/Cassiopea. They'll probably change it to where Commander Adama is played by a young guy (mid to late 30's). They'll probably have a scene where all the over 40 and elderly survivors of the Cylon attack are flushed out the airlock. They'll do this in an attempt to steal some of the darker and grimmer vibes of the Ron Moore produced version. *I'm sorry Athena, but Granny Adama had to go. We have limited food, air, and resources. The fleet can't waste it on some old bags who'll probably be dead before we reach Earth anyways.* Speaking of Earth... In the big budget remake of BSG, the fleet will probably find Earth by the end of the movie. This way they can cut costs on any sequels by shooting in familiar everyday 21st Century Earthbound locales. It will also allow them to have Galactica characters fall in love with Earth women, thus securing a bigger chunk of the Twilight/YA/cougar audience. Then there will be a big Cylon assault on the Earth, with the Galactica and the US military teaming up to fight a big battle ala Bayformers: Dorks From the Moon. This is so they can still get dudes to go see it with their girlfriends. Oh, and the Cylons will probably put implants into the bodies of the human casualties. What will this give us then? Cylon zombies of course. Maybe they will form into a Cylon zombie tsunami when they attack Earth? The trailer will show all that kind of typical Hollywood stuff, accompanied by a soundtrack of the old faithful BWAAHHHMMM (aka The Horns of Cinematic Doom). The staff here and the majority of the talkbackers will eat it up and say how it looks *so bad ass.*

    by HerbSewell

where the F are the classic centurions ? This is supposed to be the first Cylon War, we already saw glimpses of it in other BSG flashbacks and the old school toasters were there, and in this crap fest we've not seen even 1 and heard no "by your commands!" what the hell!!!

  • Nov. 26, 2012, 11:40 a.m. CST

I never get tired of reading that.
