Warners has hired Billy Frolick to write BEETLEJUICE 2. According to my many mini minions this fella met with both Tim Burton and Michael Keaton--Burton is producing and Keaton has signed on (or at least expressed enough interest to break bread and discuss it). At this point it doesn't have a director attached, and there is no word if any of the other characters (Alec, Geena or Winona) will participate.
Well I instantly became curious about whether or not this guy could write the suitable insanity for a Beetlejuice sequel. I mean, would he be sane enough to realize that Beetlejuice 2 should not be subtitled "In The French Foreign Legion" or "Down To Rio" or "Under The Sea". For a while there I had been hearing rumors to such ends. But my many mini minions say that this Frolick fella won't do that, that he wrote THE DITCHES OF EDISON COUNTY and THE PHILISTINE PROPHECY and DUMPISMS. Heh heh heh, well it certainly sounds like they got the right fella for the job.
