What the &#$% is ZOMBIES & SHARKS?

Greetings, all. Ambush Bug here with a special AICN HORROR: ZOMBIES & SHARKS screening in Chicago next week!

November and December usually is the time for Oscar-bait to be filling the theaters with all of their glitz and glamour, but at the end of this month, THE COLLECTION, the sequel to THE COLLECTOR is hitting theaters on November 30th. Always one to support horror, especially horror in theaters which is something that is becoming less and less of a reality these days, I wanted to let folks know that there’s a horror film to look forward to while you’re gobbling down turkey this week. I saw an extended clip of THE COLLECTION when I hosted a panel this past weekend at the DAYS OF THE DEAD Horror Convention in Shaumberg, Illinois. Director Marcus Dunstan, writer Patrick Melton, and stars Josh Stewart and Emma Fitzpatrick were all on hand to talk about the film and I’ll be posting my interview with them all next week.

In the meantime, there’s going to be an advance screening of THE COLLECTION at a theater in downtown Chicago next Tuesday (November 27th) at 7:00 PM. I have 40 pairs of passes to give out and I want to fill this theater so I’m going to make this one easy for you. Given the fact that this is a site built on folks who have a habit of collecting, hoarding, and cataloging all types of shit, I want to know the prize item in your own collection, be it comics, movie memorabilia, or superstar underwear. Let me know what it is. So click on this link, send me an email with the prize item in your own collection and you may be seeing THE COLLECTION next Tuesday at a theater in downtown Chicago.

Keep the emails brief. Be sure to give me your full name and whether or not you need a plus one. Seats will be held for winners until 6:45PM and then you’re SOL. And dear god, do not enter if there is an off chance that you can’t make it. As with Capone’s screenings, if there is any reason you can’t make it, do not enter. If you enter and don’t show up, I will blacklist you from any future screenings for-ev-ERRRR!.

But dammit, if you want more horror in cinema, reserve some time to support this film because from what I saw of it, it looks damn cool! So come out of the rafters, cellars, and alleyways, Chicago AICN HORROR readers! I’d love to see you all next Tuesday at this screening of THE COLLECTION. I’ll be posting the winners later on in the week.

Best of luck!
