Major Bludd from Sideshow Collectibles
Tactician, war criminal, mercenary, murderer… all words to describe Cobra’s most notorious major. Sideshow Collectibles has announced this new 12-inch version of Major Bludd, complete with weaponry and a detailed costume. The figure will include a removable helmet, heavy armor chest plate, cybernetic arm with articulated fingers, a multi-barreled sabot rail gun with three darts, a harness to store 4 additional darts, sub-machine gun with four magazines, a .50 caliber revlover, dog tags, combat boots with knife and a sheath. The Sideshow exclusive version will also feature an alternate head with a scarred eye and clip-on augmented optical unit. It will release in June or you can pre-order him here.
Ada Wong from Hot Toys
Capcom introduced Miss Wong in Resident Evil 2 as a supporting character. Now she’s getting her very own 1/6 scale action figure from Hot Toys. Ada will feature a TrueType body with more than 25 points of articulation, 7 interchangeable hands, a scarf, 1 pair of high heels, a red qipao, shotgun, machine gun, punisher with holster and thigh straps, a wire gun with hooks, crossbow, dagger, sunglasses, cell phone with holder, briefcase and figure stand. Look for this anti-heroine to release in March or you can pre-order her here.
Marvel Universe Wave 20 from Hasbro
It looks like three Marvel characters will join the 3.75-inch action figure lineup this winter. Professor X, Jubilee and 2 variants of Blastaar (regular or a poseable clear 'blasting' forearm/hand version) will join Psylocke, Incredible Hulk, Beta Ray Bill, Spider-Man Unlimited, Shattered Dimension Spider-Man and Silver Surfer on the toy pegs at your local retailer in January or you can pre-order the entire wave here.
Play Arts Kai Raiden from Square Enix
From the upcoming game Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance… wait… is Revengeance even a real word? Annnnnnnnnyway, the half-man, half-machine protagonist will get the Play Arts Kai treatment complete with multiple points of articulation, a sword, knife, three throwing knives, two sets of hands and more. Look for him to release in February.
Michael Knight from Diamond Select Toys
The Hoff will soon get a new action figure. Diamond Select Toys plans to release an 8-inch version of K.I.T.T.’s best buddy, complete with a cloth costume, multiple points of articulation and deluxe collector packaging. He should arrive this in April or you can pre-order him here. And finally this week, Patrick Boivin, the king of 1/6 scale stop-motion animation, has a new video. Here's his latest commercial starring Cuba's greatest superhero that also happens to be sponsored by a liquor company. Why am I suddenly in the mood for a mojito?
