The Behind the Scenes Pic of the Day belongs dead.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes Pic!

Before I finally head back home from this extended London outing, I wanted to make sure I got today’s BTS pic posted. As you could probably tell from the headline, it is from Bride of Frankenstein, but it is the odd BTS shot that doesn’t feature The Monster, The Bride or makeup legend Jack Pierce. Instead, it showcases the iconic town set on the Universal backlot from a bird’s eye perspective.

I’ve stated before that I love these kinds of shots, the ones that pull way back and show the amount of most-often invisible labor that goes into your average film production. In this case, odds are you just believe you’re in a beautiful gothic village and don’t think about the hundreds if not thousands of man hours that went into building the fronts and erecting the facades.

Thanks once again to William Forsche for this great photo, which I believe comes from Mr. Karloff’s personal collection.

If you have a behind the scenes shot you’d like to submit to this column, you can email me at quint@aintitcool.com.

Tomorrow’s pic actually brings us a look at the monster… but fair warning, he’s a little crispy.
