Herc’s Seen Tonight’s VENTURE BROS. And HOMELAND!! MENTALIST 100!! New AMAZING, ONCE, REVENGE, 60 MINUTES, DEXTER, TREME And More!! Sunday Is SWEEPS DAY FOUR!!
11:30 p.m. Sunday brings the first real “Venture Bros.” episode since 2010’s “Operation PROM.” It’s a Halloween special; the series assumes a more regular schedule in 2013.
Three stories unfurl simultaneously: Hank, Dean and Dermott attempt some mischief; Orpheus, Jefferson and the Alchemist host a gathering of The Brimstone Assembly, and Rusty and Hatred greet trick-or-treaters.
It’s a very big episode for Dean.
No Patrick Warburton (Brock appears silently in flashback) or Triana Orpheus, but “Bob’s Burgers” star Jon Benjamin returns to liven things up.
To say tonight’s intense episode of “Homeland” is a gamechanger is understating the matter. Watch tonight, or feel really confused next week.
Premiering tonight:
Ice Loves Coco (E!)
“The Walking Dead” lost some audience in week two, but it still beat “Big Bang Theory” and “Modern Family” to emerge last week as TV’s top scripted show.
“The Mentalist” hit a series low last week, thanks no doubt to being shoved to 11 p.m. on the East Coast by CBS’ football overrun.

Can't CBS see that they're killing The Mentalist with the move to Sunday?
by John Brennick
It was huge on Thursdays and now it's slowly dying.
-
still havent watched last weeks treme though. gotta get around to that

Herc, how do you see all these shows before they air on tv?
by shalashaska
Are you from the future?
-
it might have something to do with the fact that he's a tv critic......and the fact that he gets paid to do this........
-
So has the Walking Dead this season. Two fantastic shows.
-
I dreamt about it this week, which is rare for me. Signs that it's digging in to my subconscious.

almost every episode of Homeland this season has been a gamechanger
by Titus05
they really are moving fast this season compared to last season's slow burn...I'm glad they decided not to do another Brody terrorist plot...hopefully they won't cop out and have Brody team up with Carrie and the CIA to take down Nazir
-
I really didn't expect Brody to be found out so soon. Also, I'm really glad that Carrie had her moment of "redemption" so soon after nearly killing herself. When Claire Daines is sad, it's nearly impossible not to become sad right along with her!
-
Walking Dead is (still) shit.

that serial killer groupie chick Dexter's been flirting with is so hot
by Rebel Scumb
This season has been a great return to form, I didn't hate seasons 5 or 6 but they were just very status quo/filler type seasons, we're back to season 2 and season 4 type momentum
-
PVR Boardwalk, Dexter & Revenge, + torrenting Homeland & Downton Abbey and now this Venture Bros special thrown into the mix I didn't stick with Walking dead, and haven't tried out Once yet (saving it for the next time I have nothing to watch)
-
It's been really good so far, plus has both Balon Greyjoy & Stannis from GoT + Mr. Eko from Lost, and hot and talented Melissa George from DARK CITY & IN TREATMENT
-
damn downton has been getting dark. i dont want to go into spoilers since i think most people are waiting for it to air in the u.s. but holy shit. its been good but depressing as hell

What kind of ratings does Treme get? Gave up on that POS show last season
by FrodoFraggins
-
It's called Grimm and Once Upon A Time.
-
definitely thought Finn aka VP's son, who was with Dana, was going to be Abu Nazir's target to avenge Issa... you think Brody, instead of being the CIA's double agent, would be Abu Nazir's triple agent?
-
http://goo.gl/kCTB2
-
Now we (the audience) will be wondering if Brody has really been turned, or is still helping Abu Nazir. Damien Lewis and Clare Danes were amazing in their interview scene. Very powerful acting.
-
Loved how they worked in Victor Frankenstein into the mythology with science vs magic and how the villians are getting extra depth with the Queen and Rumplestiltskin trying to change, but there being all these temptations to not change.
-
Do it now. Best television show since The Wire. Calling it now.

Curious how they plan to keep this show going once Abu Nazeer is killed.
by RedJester
Will they prolong Abu Nazeer's death until the shows completion? Have Brody stick with the CIA once the operation is complete? Assuming they want to keep the Brody character as a part of the show, I really don't see how this show can last more than two or three seasons without it the plot becoming so convoluted that it'll lose its fan base.

I think we reached the peak of the bell curve last week.
by rakesh patel
the kids storyline is already boring me to the point of fast forward, almost missed the hit and run but it seems like a 24 tactic to add something into the mix to keep the story going. Jessica is the more interesting family member, i would have actually preferred a storyline developing her role in the political circles and Nicholas's influence and sway in office. perhaps in greater depth and detail of the policy changes ( more boss then west wing) he got in place to give nasser a foot in the door. Nicholas flipped pretty quickly that was relatively quick and easy eh? Back for tea! and all off the books! But what have we got here? Eyes on Nicholas, he has to manoeuvre and get Nazir argument about whether dead or alive. better asset alive, sting operation, goes wrong / goes right. Nazir goes after brodies family ( nice telegraphing there about Nazir going after families of those who have betrayed him, the double twist, they go after Carrie and family as Nazir thinks she is his real lover!), drama. nicholas has to do the right thing and sacrifice himself. He killed people! no ways he gets to leave office and play happy families. The question is how long they stretch it out.
-
As the beginning of the end - a guy who was tortured for years cracks like an egg within a day - giving up all he knows? The CIA decides to put a guy who was a second from a suicide mission back on the street? The VP's son who has been driving for probably less than a year can put maneuver the secret service? I'm not saying it wasn't a good episode but it'll be hard to get back to the world of believability from here and I hope they can.

i thought Finn was going to be targeted #homeland #eye-for-an-eye #Abu- Nazir
by hot_carl
that way Dana gets caught in the cross hairs and it helps Brody fully turn to the CIA
-
Don't like Dermott, Don't like Hatred and hate seeing the boys grow up. Any episode with out Brock (speaking) is a show wasted.
-
I...disagree!
-
And I also hate Dermot & Hatred. Although Hatred really didn't do all that much. Are his boobs new??? Can't remember. I was waiting for a Fight Club reference. Loved the return of H. Jon Benjamin and the voice of J.K. Simmons. An appearance by Dr. Killinger would have been awesome . . .
-
when does the new season start because i miss the show so damn much. i like deans new look. aging them both isnt so bad. Also they really need to give dr orpheus a girlfriend. tired of the ex wife and new douchebag boyfriend. lol. even dr venture gets laid.
-
Even Disney couldn't outright steal the entire premise without being called on it. They have gone to great lengths to NOT credit it as an adaptation because they don't want to send the kiddies looking for those much-more-adult-than-the-show comics. It also might have something to do with it being a DC/Vertigo property and Disney owning Marvel ...
-

Possibly that plus the creator of Fables has stated that Once Upon A Time is not an adaptation/copy

@Mr rebel scumb, obviously you never saw "Chuck", have you, because she was played one of the main characters, superspy Sarah Walker.
by albert comin
And yes, she is very hot. Australian babedom via polish parents at it's best. Her name is Yvonne Strahovski but fans gave her the affectionate nickname of "Strahotsky".
-
Damn, that was some fine shit! Big, fat, chunky acting in that interrogation scene. Emmys all round for this show.
-
God damn, I've missed that show!
-
The Finn accident storyline seems set up to show that he's a psychopath. Not as horrible as Kim and the cougar...could be a serviceable plot B.

Also, seems like he got lucky to elude the Secret Service
by I am_NOTREAL
By being in a sedan and therefore able to clear that crane. Didn't seem due to any particular driving skill. Maybe a bit of a cheat, but a tolerable one in my book.
-
Maybe this is the way Brody gets to have his cake and eat it - by using the info from Dana to subvert the hated VP's "inevitable" ascension to the White House - finding out and leaking the details when they cover up his son's involvement. Still bothered by the text warning and the scrambling around after the escaped tailor, but the interrogation scene between Lewis and Danes was quite magnificent.
