Gladiator Auctions Start Tomorrow

Published at:  May 10, 2000 5:43:38 PM CDT

Good day, El Cosmico here again,

For those of you who love Gladiator so much that you need to make it a part of your life, I suggest you go over to the Amazon.com auction, which starts tomorrow, and pick yourself up some goodies. Oh, and bring a fat wad of cash.

The auction can be found at http://www.amazon.com/gladiator-auction

Now, if they'd just auction off a date with Connie Nielsen...

    Money grab indeed

    by stilt-man

Am I seeing right, over 150 dollars for a non-signed poster just because it has a certificate from Dreamworks!!??? Ridiculous, I have seen the poster selling for less than 45 in mint sans certificate...and I do not think a certificate justifies another 100 bucks added to the cost...sheesh!!! I almost like to think the auction is a hoax and people are bidding like mad because they are in on the joke and know they will not have to pay for the merchandise in reality...kind of like the ebay...buy elians dirt from his backyard auctions! The fact that these auctions are probably real means there are an awful lot of people out there who are (mysteriously) not feeling the recent pain of the stock market, and have money to throw away!!

    sorry bout that

    by rjtapper

I see my Oliver Reed post was deleted, as it probabl should've been. It was mean and sick and I apologize. I certainly have nothing against the late Mr.Reed. It just popped into my head. I'm a dirty S.O.B. Twig feels bad now, ya happy?

Item: one genuine tiger skin, 100% CGI, killed by Russell Crowe.

    by moviecrypt

So when do we see the official Colosseum playset, complete with "tiger" doors? (Chariots of Death TM sold separately.) The Undead have spoken.

    Income

    by riffraff

Man... studios could make some pretty hefty dough if they start doing this regularly... Sell off all the props from your last movie, you've got enough dough to fund all the props for the next movie, _and_ pay the props crew, _and_ have a nice wad of change left over!

    Gladiator action figures...

    by pacey thomas

...would be great!I remember when the He-Man figures came out I bought every single one.I was disapointed not to see maximus' mask.I would definatly put up my dough for that.I would even pick up pennies off the street for that.
So who's with me on seeing some gladiator action figures? And on a side note when are they gonna make some matrix based novels like they do for star wars.

    Russels mini skirt.

    by horus

I'm surprised no one wants to buy, an exact copy ,of the little pleated mini skirt Crow wears in the film!Imagine how much more fun Romper Stomper would have been , if hed worn a little pleated number in that!He should wear one in all his films ,from now on.
