The Behind the Scenes Pic of the Day is gonna be pissed if he sees you screwin’ around! C’mon! We got shit to do!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes Pic!

I ran a Friday the 13th Part 3 photo recently and spouted about my love of the movie there, so I won’t go over the same territory again, especially since that opinion isn’t exactly common amongst horror fans (whereas we can most agree that IV and VI are about the best of the sequels).

But I do have a really fun picture from the making of Friday the 13th 3-D that I wanted to share, featuring a young Stan Winston posing with actors Steve Susskind, Richard Brooker and director Steve Miner, with Brooker in an early version of the uner-the-mask Jason make up. Granted, Jason looks a little more like a Dick Tracy villain here than a mentally handicapped, semi-undead psychopath, but it’s still a grand photo.

Stay tuned afterwards for two more BTS pics as I play catch up (I owe you three, Friday, Saturday and today).

The first HOUSE scared the shit out of me as a kid and the second… well, didn’t really scare me, but it was perfect for kids. It’s really silly and features undead Cowboys, crystal skulls and Bill Maher, but damnit, I still kinda like it. Call it nostalgia if you want (and you’re probably right), but I like it.

Here’s a picture of make up being applied to the big bad guys of House 2 and, if I’m not mistaken, it’s being applied by one Mr. William Forsche (turns out I am mistaken! Gasp, shock! That is not Mr. Forsche, but rather Mike Smithson applying the make up. Apologies, Mike.). Here’s the pic, click to enlargen!

Finally, I have a picture of Humphrey Bogart applying his own make up for one of his only forays into sci-fi/horror, The Return of Doctor X. Apparently, Bogart disowned this film, feeling it was one of his worst. I wouldn’t disagree with him on that, it’s not very good, but it is fascinating considering just how much of a legend Bogart became.

Thanks to Peter Osteried for sending this one along!

If you have a behind the scenes shot you’d like to submit to this column, you can email me at quint@aintitcool.com.

Now we’re all caught up! Tomorrow’s pic will thrill you.
