Iron Man And Hulk Team Up For HEROES UNITED Trailer!!
The Kidd here...
It absolutely would have been cool to see what happened post-AVENGERS when Tony Stark gives Bruce Banner a ride to wherever. That could have been a new take on the buddy road movie right there, but you know at some point Stark busts out with the suit, Banner brings out the Hulk, and some villains with ill intentions meet their match. Sadly we'll never really know how that car ride turned out, but Marvel Animation Studios is more than happy to satisfy your Iron Man/Hulk fix with MARVEL'S IRON MAN & HULK: HEROES UNITED.
The CG-animation full-length feature is set to for a Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download release on April 23, 2013, arriving just before IRON MAN 3 premieres in theatres, but over the weekend at New York Comic Con, the first trailer for the animated flick received its debut.
It's a bit strange to see Tony Stark looking like Robert Downey Jr. but not sounding like him. Adrian Pasdar is Iron Man this time out with the Hulk being voiced by Fred Tatasciore, but, for big fans of the characters, this one could be fun.

How can such a massively rich studio make such awful animation?
by CampKoala
look at the new Tron and Ninja Turtles stuff, high quality animation with attention to detail, wonderful style and a general impression of it costing more than 5 bucks to make. This really does look and sound cheap and nasty.

Was that made in Adobe Flash 2.0?

A pithy and sarcastic Hulk, finally someone GETS IT! And I think the voice over casting guys got confused, sounds like they hired someone to do Spidey's voice, and just went with it after realizing they were actually doing an Iron Man movie.

If this is 100% finished animation that's shown, then it's a pile of shit

and I 'm sick to fucking death of the Stark cu's inside the helmet. Give that shit a rest.

Looks fan-made.
-
Make something good, Disney/Pixar/Marvel, use the resources! With Spider-Man at Sony, could Disney still release a Spider-Man animated movie in the cinemas? Or a Pixar Fantastic Four movie... oh wait, they already did that, but with red costumes.
-
The character models look good but why does it look so cheap? Looks like a PS1 video game cut-scene with unimaginative, repeating backgrounds.
-
Looks like any generic videogame intro of the week. I suppose this stuff flies off the shelves of Walmart. Little kids will buy anything with super heroes in it.

I like Adrian Pasdar... but he would be better as Peter Parker
by James Robinson
His voice just sounds a bit too genial, needs to sound MUCH more self involved and full of himself. just sayin'

That shit looked SO AWKWARD!!!!

No thank you Marvel.

Pasdar's a good actor but he sounds about 14 in those clips.

Pasdar is just all wrong for this. Loomis has the perfect Iron Man voice (which is why he's been playing him for years). What the hell?
-
Get back to me when Avengers 2 comes out.
-
I don't think people understand, that cgi animation is very expensive to get right. Don't expect some cheap @$$ studio in India to make a dvd movie that anyone wants to see for a few $100,000.
-
But their animation department doesn't hold a candle to Warner Bros DC output. Both in quality AND quantity.
-
Perhaps they're just showing us the keyframes...?
-
Oct. 14, 2012, 3:50 p.m. CST
eh, if the story is decent & the script is fun I could care less about the style of animation
by Al
I'm fine with a quippy Tony Stark even if it isn't Robert Downey Jr. And I always like it whenever Hulk can talk a bit and is somewhat terse.
-
...but Hulk saying "you think?" was the deal breaker.

Whoever cut this trailer did a terrible job.
by KEVIN_COSTNERS_RECYCLED_PISS
Here's a tip, if at no point in the movie Tony actually says "next time I'm programming less backtalk ya big ape" then don't try and construct that sentence out of other sentences because it doesn't work. Oh, and why does Ironman sound more like Spider-man?
-
I hate that Marvel can't decide whether Hulk should have a brain or not. Hulk is most fun when he's at his most animalistic, and not when he's making dry, witty comments. That, and the animation looks like something from 15 years ago.
-
And Frank voices Hulk there too. So... it all sounds somewhat familiar... if you've watched that show, that is.

It's not like he's busy with other projects
-
Although he is a big smart ass. But Hulk doesn't put himself in other's shoes, so to speak. He would say, "Robots? BAH! HULK HATES ROBOTS!!!! HULK SMASH PUNY RO-BOTTTTS!!!!! AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH!" Hulk's dialog writes itself.(That's how you write the Hulk, btw.)
-
For all its criticisms, MADHOUSE at least provided very servicable animation, even when they resorted to using CG! Iron Man Rise of Technovore also looks good! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=CUgzL3rlzLg Though they should've dropped the CG models and gone for a fully fluid and hand drawn Iron Man like in the original concept trailer which was balls to the wall awesome! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4Q7xgxDJh4 I'm guessing it ended up like it did due to Marvel being cheap.
-
...Hulk talks too much, CG looks like a cheap Appleseed rip off (which didn't look that great to begin with) and the action is too slow. Otherwise this looks pretty good.

Avengers The Movie fucking sucked anyway. What a huge letdown.
by sasquatch_with_a_swatch_watch
It's a comic book movie for chrissake's. It should have cool editing, stylish cinematography... Something to distance it from the other "John Travolta must stop the giant missiles before they EXPLODE" movies. Cheesy Joss Whedon patter, overwrought pathos, TV direction... Say what you want about films like the '89 Batman, Dick Tracy, 300, Ang Lee's Hulk- at least the filmmakers in charge of those stories knew to inject some of that lurid comic book style into their films.
-
Look for as great as Marvel's live action projects are they're animated projects save for The Avengers cartoon is as equally awful. It's the same for DC as bad as their live action films are save for Nolan's Trilogy, they're animated projects are GREAT save for the new Green Latern cartoon. It's just ironic how that seems to be especially seeing how Marvel is now with the king of Animation Disney.

Royston you're entitled to your opinion, but your opinion is bullshit
by ClaireRedfield
No way does this stiff, low framerate, washed out colored mess look better than DKR2. And I think DKR2 is watered down bullshit plotwise. Okay, I apologise for saying your opinion is bullshit. Please explain how this is better, though. Because I find this trailer insulting to my senses and intelligence, so I don't understand what's good about it. Is it the shitty textures, or the cheap low detail character designs? How about the lack of shadows and dynamic lighting? Please help me see what you see.
-
Marvel stuff isn't very good. Don't know why. No Bruce Timm I'd wager.
-
If it were not for Robert Downey Jr. and the one or two funny scenes with the Hulk, it would have been pretty dull. Piss poor story. Hawkeye is so lame. Thor is not cool at all. The Hulk tossing Loki was great though.

I've said it before but, F-it, what about a reboot of Reboot?
by kindofabigdeal
Go live action this time. In 3-D!!!
-
Now spend some fucking time, effort and money and get some tradition animators to do the project some justice. Oh you don't want to do that because you're content with these ridiculous ps1 graphics? Cool - guess you don't want my money then. I'll keep it and go buy a DC animated movie.
-
Funny you should say that; I was thinking after watching this that the animation reminded me exactly of Reboot with smoother character skins. Then I thought of Reboot the series and thought the same thing you did. It would make a great series today if they could bring current technological advances into that world and keep the same goofy but intelligent writing.
-
Looks like a cutscene from a late 90's PC game.
-
I always said was fucking amazing looking. Extremely well directed too. If they could improve upon that just a tad, I think it'd be even better than the live action, cause the shit they can do is on so much of a larger scale and it seems easier to tell what the hell is going on since the palette is slightly lower than real life. It's also a step back from reality so it's always believable. Also, looking at it now, it looks like the way it was shot and the interactions were an influence on The Avengers. How much could it have cost to make that thing? I agree with others who suggest we NEED Pixar to do some type of Marvel film at some point. I think it's one of those things that is inevitable, but won't happen until they absolutely have to do it.
-

More lowest common denomitanor shit from Marvel. They market their shit for guys who wear Affliction shirts, you know with flames and barb wire and chains running up the sleeves?
by sasquatch_with_a_swatch_watch
When was the last time there was ANY Marvel film worth writing home about? Iron Man? Thor was pretty good. X2 was like the last time they even approached take-your-breath away sci-fi. CINEMA. These flicks (and cartoons) all seem to be designed for guys with crew cuts who like wrestling and trucks. Not real sci-fi and comic people who know better.
-
Your right, that is much cooler than this. The voice-work and animation is much better!
