The former, slated for 2013, is described as a space travel comedy, while the latter project will have a more serious tone.
A full (Spanish language) interview can be read here - in his interviews, he commented that his planned Studio 4C series fell through, also that he watch 500 movies a year in his youth.

If you're behind on you're Watanabe watching, his long awaited return to anime, Kids on the Slope is legally streaming online.

90% of Hollywood films are forgettable nonsense that insult the viewer's intelligence
by beamish13
8% are decent wastes of time, and maybe 2% are worth watching more than once.

Is quite possibly the greatest half hour of anime (or possibly even television)I have ever seen.
-
You missed the obvious "interesting man" joke :-D
-
Are pure genuis and the only 2 animes I can watch. The rest is either too kiddy or too weird (Unless anyone can suggest anything good)

Kid's on the Slope was very nice as well! His 2 Animatrix shorts were also awesome along with the intriguing one he did for Genius Party! Everything this man has done that I've seen is awesome! Will Yoko Kanno be back again as well? Can't wait to see what's next!

RE: Cowboy Bebop is nothing but a rip off of Firefly.
by Mission Code Z
Irony noted.
-
He makes it prominent in all his work.
-
Firefly premiered in 2002, CB premiered in 1998. I love me some Firefly, but it would be pretty hard for CB to be a "ripoff" without a TARDIS handy.

bebop, champloo, and even ghost in the shell are all brilliant, but they don't hold a candle to evangelion.
