Love me some Applegate.
-
It was the first appearance of Matt Foley: Motivational Speaker, and there was also that funny bit where she played Cher with Farley in drag, Focus on Beauty, I think it was called. She's a solid player, I'm surprised she's been away for so long.
-
I replied before your videos loaded for me. I wouldn't have mentioned Matt Foley had I known that vid was there. I feel like a dunce.
-
I mean it better
-
Hope she shows that ass tonight.
-
Why? One's not funnier or a better actor than the other? You wanna know why? Sexism.
-
Spilled many a seed to her back in the day.
-
I love the idea that in day and age anybody can post videos on their website. However, I don't love that some people (namely Herc) believe that they don't need to actually write anything to go with the video. I know a picture says a thousand words, but I come to this site for the WRITING (not commercials I can see while watching Parks & Recreation). This section used to be about more than just TV commercials, it used to be about Herc voicing his opinion and talking about the shows. If this was two years ago, he would have spent a full paragraph talking about the last SNL Kelly Bundy was on. But no, we get videos instead. I know videos are easier, but some of us actually want some writing on the TV section of Ain't it Cool News.
-
Last time this show was actually funny?
-
1. I am used to seeing Craig as a tough Guy and I was pleasantly shocked on how well he not only did with the comedy but also showing his range. He is a really good actor. 2. Applegate is an awesome comedic actress. I have never watched the new show but she kept up as Kelly Bundy. If any other actress had that role I.believe the character would had been a throwaway. Applegate gave her dimension. I will tune in tonight.
-
That sketch was both retarded and brilliant at the same time. Moynahan (Sp?) is a very talented comedian, probably one of the best they have on the show right now Daniel Craig was a very good host, I figured they would have him playing tough james bond characters in every sketch, and while the monologue started out about him being tough, The show quickly had craig playing all sorts of characters. I hope tonight's episode is even better, and how cool would it bee to have a Will Ferrel/Ron burgundy appearance?
-
Anyone notice in the Miss My Little Kitty skit that one character said "In the pipe, 5x5" and that one of the characters was named Macready? Coincidences? Also, in the James Cameron/Hunny Boo Boo South Park from a few weeks ago, they also did an "in the pipe, 5x5" reference. Such an obscure line to pop up in pop culture in the same week.
-
Especially when the twits here keep using 'Hulu' which is "not available in your location". When, oh WHEN will Aint-It-Cool wake up to the fact that the U.S. isn't the navel of the world and that there's a lot more to Earth than just U.S.A. and that it would be nice if these guys kept this in mind when they post videos which can't be seen anywhere else.

tisketmaster-In the pipe, 5x5-I don't watch SNL but I caught it on South Park
by art123guy
Considering it's from a Cameron film, Aliens, it made perfect sense on South Park. I laughed out loud at that one.

ricarleite4 -Sexism? Really? You couldn't be more wrong. It's obviously a case of...
by art123guy
...Faustino being vertically challenged. And he isn't dead. I think he does more behind the scenes type projects and I remember him being an owner of a nightclub at one time.
-
seriously, applegate, arnet and rudolph and the show just isn't funny at all. I hope it's cancelled soon and NBC fills it's thursday void with community
-
What are you talking about saying Hercules never writes anything. Up above he gave us the brilliantly stated and thought-provoking question: "Funny stop before after?" Complete sentences and fully-formed thoughts are are so 2010. Get with the times, old man!
-
Write does Herc - question "Funny stop before after?" his. 2010: Full sentence thought no! adapt yes?
-
See my subject line! It makes sense in the snl skit, too. The skit is set on a spaceship...one with a cat, even (albeit a stow-away and not the ship's official pet cat).

Wow, the infamous Matt Foley sketch. I remember watching that on that very night. I recorded it too and played it for my mom and others. Magical!

Great cast, roughly 5 years b4 and 5 years after.
-
I say this with all respect. She is a cool chick!

Is Sudekis doing anything over than just Romney this season?
by DougMcKenzie
And is he not bailing after the election? I heard he was only back for that.

Applegate is easily the least deserving host this show has had in some time.

celebrity fake nudes? I remember downloading her at 9600 baud in the early 90s. Man I miss 3 porn pictures a day; appreciated it so much more back then!
-
Could have had him do something, at least.
-
Tough being a Detroit fan in the 9th inning.
-
And hairy arms. Shave that shit crissy!

Best thing so far in this crap episode
-
Is that racist? Just a little?
-
When did cardigans, plaid shirts, skinny pants, and glasses become the standard uniform for rock bands?

There was a thing on Twitter or somewhere that the idiot executives at Cartoon Network won't be bringing back DC Nation until Janurary.

In 2000 when Al Gore did his sighing act in the first debate, then bent over backwards to be polite in the second debate, he was justifiably skewered. And they didn't feel the need to invent some things about Bush to make him look bad. Now in 2012, liberal partisanship has completely saturated the media. They were handed comedy gold from Biden's performance and instead focused more time on (1) Ryan being an outrageous liar (after they did the same thing for Romney last week); and (2) what a super hard ass the moderator was because Lehrer was perceived by liberals as not being aggressive enough (heaven forbid we actually let the candidates speak outside of 2 minute soundbites; yeah, better to interupt them when they're trying to make a point and then shift to another topic). Turned it off and didn't turn it back on. Disgusting.
-
It was terrible the first time around, why are they forcing it as a recurring sketch?
-
I mean, yeah, she's talented, and kinda cute, but she's the new Kristen Wiig now? She's got the 'wacky' thing down, and the maniacal grin/crazy eyes as well. She'll be heralded as The Second Coming of Female Funny, SNL will become The Kate McKinnon Show, then she'll milk it until everyone's sick of the sight of her.

on the face of the planet. Not just unfunny, but anti-funny. Half of the time watching him 'perform' triggers the same feeling I got when my dad started rapping once. This weird, squeamish, 'I am so fucking embarrassed for you, I'm getting contact-embarrassment just for having watched you do it' feeling. That would be great if Moynahan was some kind of genius like Andy Kaufman. But he's not Andy Kaufman, he's just an unfunny knob who occasionally goes full retard, and the embarrassing spectacle is so mesmerizing from it's sheer train-wreckosity that you forget to even complain that it has forever lowered the bar on how lame a human being can act.
-
Last week's Romney/Obama debate was 10% skewering of Romney's lies and 90% focusing on Obama sleep-walking through the debate. And I don't know how you can view Sudeikis's outrageously obnoxious Joe Biden as somehow pro-Dem. Sure, they hit Ryan with the "shark eyes" and other jabs, but I thought the skit was pretty even in its pokes at both sides.
-
You'll have to forgive him, the new Republican strawman since Obama got elected is the new 'white, christian republicans are the most victimized people in the US' schtick. The voting units get pummeled with this stuff 24/7 from their propaganda modules so it's almost impossible for them to not soak it in and regurgitate it.
-
So sick of this. It's not like it's the whole show just a snippet. But not for our Australian eyes.
