Here's An Ain't It Cool Exclusive Clip From A LIAR's AUTOBIOGRAPHY - THE UNTRUE STORY OF MONTY PYTHON'S GRAHAM CHAPMAN!
Nordling here.
After hearing about this movie, I was hoping it would play Fantastic Fest - I'm a Monty Python fan and I think this animated 3D documentary would have killed with that crowd. Not that the docs this year didn't kill already - really strong year for documentaries this year - but considering the audience, they would have been primed to see this.
That's okay, because A LIAR'S AUTOBIOGRAPHY will be playing on EPIX, and in select US theaters in 3D on Friday, November 2nd. In the meantime, watch a clip from the movie, featuring Graham Chapman himself reading from his autobiography, and Chapman doesn't let a little thing like death stop him from reuniting with his Monty Python brothers for the first time in 23 years. Enjoy!

that it tries too hard, and isn't very funny OR informative because it didn't really know which it wanted to be. I'd like a nice 3 hour in depth doc on the history of the pythons and how their working relationship developed. including the show, films, post Meaning of Life stuff...etc

They gave me Life of Brian and Holy Grail...they can do whatever they want now as far as I'm concerned

BUT, this looks a little jumbled.

But I'm not really feeling this. It's seems pretentious and tedious - the antithesis of Python.

You might want to track down "Monty Python: Almost The Truth." I watched it on Netflix streaming many months ago, although it's now only available on disc. It's six episodes and goes into just about everything you're talking about. Very good.

It's where I first saw, Jean Jean The Evil Cat

Know what i mean ? Nudge nugde ... say no more say no more

..and I tried awfully hard to like it - but over an hour or so of this would be too much.

i have a theory about this show. its a little funny at one end, HUGELY boring in the middle, and then a little funny at the other end.

I saw this a few weeks ago.. it was pretty good. There's about 5 or 6 styles of animation in the movie. It isn't for everyone.. but the crowd I saw it was into it.
