THE WORLD'S END Teaser Poster Invites You To Come In For The Good Times And Stay For The Destruction!!
The Kidd here...
What more do you need to know about THE WORLD'S END other than it's Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wright back together again? Was SHAUN OF THE DEAD not enough for you to know what they're capable of when working as a cohesive unit? Was HOT FUZZ? This time they're back to embark on an epic pub crawl with a group of reunited friends that may just end up in a bar that's not just cleverly named for the apocalypse considering where the movie's headed.
Fandango debuted the first teaser one sheet for the film today which gives you a taste of the best of both worlds - the film's pub premise and its clear path towards the end of the world.

THE WORLD'S END arrives in theatres in the U.S. on October 25, 2013.

Cant wait for this. The supporting cast is looking brilliant with Eddie Marsan and Paddy Considine.

six pints of bitter beforehand...Ford tells me it helps to lesson the effects.

They've currently taken over four of the pubs in my home town. My former local (The Fountain) is now 'The Cross Hands'. The place has never been busier.
-
because Wright/Pegg/Frost is great and never hasn't been. but that stupid steve carrell end of the world movie really put a bad taste in my mouth for apocalypse/pseudo-comedies. I'll get over it.

After Paul and Scott Pilgrim, it's good to have the old gang back together.

well, that happens when your career goes downhill with flop after flop.

And by the way, no, Hot Fuzz was not enough for me. Pretty disapointing movie which instead of mocking the worst of the action genre it decided to kiss it's ass. Bust!

Shaun > Hot Fuzz > Most Everything > Scott Pilgrim (sorry couldn't resist)

10 year ago or so....spent a couple of weeks in our London office and this was my home after work. I don't think it's the Worlds End anymore though. Great memories...

Must mark calendar!

No, they are finishing the planned "Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy" that started with Shaun of the Dead, follow with Hot Fuzz, and now ends with this movie. Get a clue: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Three_Flavours_Cornetto_Trilogy

With a list of all the pubs on the crawl.

Oh dear. Just found out Freeman is in this. Way to ruin it for me.
by moonlightdrive
Come October 13 look to see Freeman in the same performance he gives in The Hobbit, because that is the performance he gives in every role.
-
I respectfully disagree. I have watched it FIVE times, and am still giddy in love with that wondrous weird piece of work. Total love. CANNOT WAIT for The World's End.

This is how I score it...Shaun OTD > Scott Pilgrime > everything else > Hot Fuzz.

It would be cool to be able to go to one of those bars and have a pint with the guys.

Is it cause it didn't live up to the g-novel? I can see that. I've read the g-novels and seen the movie versions for Wanted and Kick-Ass (movies were ok and good, respectively but neither can touch their respective g-novels). Is it Michael Cera's "Kermit the Frog" physicality? Just because the poor guy looks like a human version of an amphibian muppet doesn't mean he cannot kick cinematic ass, no? Ramona Flowers? Have to admit that booty was sweetness in those black panties (tho i think i prefer the demon-hipster chicks myself).

Nope. There are quite a few pubs named 'The World's End' in the UK. It tended to signify that they were on the very edge of town or beyond a city's boundaries. In this instance, the original inspiration is that of The World's End pub in Camden, London.

Maybe I'm seeing things, but it stood out to me. Doubt it has anything to do with the flick. Can't wait!
