Unfortunately, it's going to be tricky to attract family audiences in large numbers. Stop-motion animated movies have a pretty low ceiling on opening weekend: Corpse Bride holds the record with $19.2 million, while recent entries ParaNorman ($14.1 million) and The Pirates! Band of Misfits ($11.1 million) were middling in their debuts. More importantly, though, Frankenweenie faces direct competition from Hotel Transylvania, which had a surprisingly-high opening and is guaranteed to earn over $20 million this weekend. It's hard to imagine many family audiences choosing the black-and-white stop-motion Frankenweenie over the vibrant, action-packed Hotel Transylvania, so expect Frankenweenie to wind up in third place.
-
Two of my co-workers brought up that they were going to see HT and when I brought up that they should see Frankenweenie they both looked at me and said "No, that looks stupid." Never underestimate the simple cares of the sheep.

Being up past 2am was cramping my Sundays. Anybody hear the new Skyfall song? Here it is. Have a listen. See you guys tonight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HKoqNJtMTQ

About Skyfall that is, or Adele for that matter. And there is a dedicated tb on this subject btw.

oh and I second YAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY!!! It's the Final Late Show!!!
by adeceasedfan
It's 3am for me. Boo.
-
I had heard that they had released the song, but this morning was the first time I found a site that had a link to it. I must admit I haven't had much time to look for it. Youtube. Go figure. I like it. I like it a lot. It reminds me of some of the classic Bond songs. But I am waiting for the movie. Daniel Craig is on SNL tonight. That should be a good lead in for the show. See ya there.

I cannot remember any of the guests. Went to Letterman, twice. The latter was a dick, both times. And behaved like a total douche during commercials.

Coil drainage P-trap was clogged and the squirrel cage was unsecured from the shaft.
by L.H.Puttgrass
Had to disassemble parts of it to get access to what needed repair and at least one trip to Lowe's. It all took about 5 hours or so. Recorded but haven't seen SNL.

Where is Alice in the original game?
-

RE6 is supposedly so far removed from what Resident Evil should be, I wouldn't doubt Alice being in one of the games before too long.

It was the Bomb! back in the day. Going thru bags of potato chips and dip until the wee hours of the morning... No sleep for the weekend. Not when you stay up with Bob. My dad was in the Navy and so I was living in Alameda for most of the 70's.
-
I don't even go to theaters, any longer, due to jerks in the audience. I would NEVER ruin a film with inappropriate responses. I grew up on old-school film etiquette.

I had no idea. I'll look into it. Thanks!

I can't agree more with all of you. Excellent movie, such a wonderful surprise. I'm glad that I went in knowing so little about it. One thought if any of you check back. Do you think it's possible that the main thug played by Noah Segan was the younger Jeff Daniels? They never fully explain Abe other than he's from the future and Kid Blue(?) seemed very disturbed upon seeing dead Abe following the shootout.
