SNL RETURNS OCTOBER 6 WITH HOST DANIEL CRAIG AND MUSICAL GUEST MUSENew York, NY - October 1, 2012 - SNL returns with three back to back shows, starting October 6 with host Daniel Craig and musical guest Muse.
Christina Applegate returns as host on October 13. Applegate currently stars in NBC's comedy "Up All Night" alongside Maya Rudolph and Will Arnett.
Passion Pit will make their musical guest debut. The critically acclaimed group released their sophomore album, "Gossamer," to rave reviews with the album debuting at number four and their singles topping the Billboard Alternative charts.
On October 20, multi-platinum singer/songwriter/producer Bruno Mars will pull double duty as host and musical guest. The Grammy Award-winning singer will release his second album, “Unorthodox Jukebox," on December 11 and the first single “Locked Out Of Heaven” on October 1.
"Saturday Night Live" is produced in association with Broadway Video. The creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels.

My local pub is full of "Talented Singers" on karaoke night. It doesn't mean they should be earning millions of dollars and presenting comedy shows.

with an appreciation for old school rock and R&B. It's good to see someone with actual TALENT get recognized in an industry where looks are often more important than ability. I'm shocked, this is turning out to be a really good season. Good skits and good host. I'm curious to see if anyone can top Seth Macfarlane this season.

Never listened to Muse in my life, but what was that first song they played ? They sounded like they were remaking a U2 video .... it was whack how much of a ripoff that was.

Lesser known Bond girls and space kitty stole the show tonight. I was really impressed with the accents all around though. Also Kate McKinnon is going to overtake Vanessa Bayer, mark my words!

...Lorne anointed Bayer as the new Wiig, just as he anointed Wiig as the new Pohler, etc. He has his favorites going all the way back to Gilda.

...over Bayer. McKinnon started mid-season right after it was announced Wiig was leaving. I think Bayer has been around long enough to see that she isnt going to become an SNL powerhouse.

There's something slightly psychotic about Kate McKinnon, and I mean that in a good way. Bayer looks like she might get stuck playing the straight woman or overenthusiastic kid character.

Why is she still on the show? Her funny quotient is nil. I don't think she's made me laugh once, and that voice is just ... It's like a cross between a harpie being burned at the stake and deranged female cat going through "the change" while trapped in a bag full of crayfish. Don Pardo should just announce her as "Abby Bysmal" every week.

More character potential, and a great actor to boot. Love to see more of him and McKinnon, whose hair commercial with Sophia Vergara last year was maybe the best skit of the season.

One of the best live bands around today. Matt Bellamy ( the singer, also married to Kate Hudson ) is a fricken genius. Check him out on Youtube playing the shit out of guitar AND piano. Great band.
