With a 2.2, “Last Resort” premiered a little better than “Charlie’s Angels” did (with a 2.1) in that timeslot last year. “My Generation” launched with a 1.6 and was cancelled the next week. “FlashForward” began its life with a 4.0, which for some reason was where I thought “Last Resort” might start.

TREAT YO' SELF I'm so glad Parks and Rec got it together after season 1

I liked Season 1 as well, but season 2 and on have been great. The characters have always been great, especially Ron and Andy, but I feel like it's just a better show with more certainty in what is doing. I guess being biased towards an ex-UCB star and my crush on Aubrey Plaza doesn't hurt. Also, the addition of Ben and Chris might be the best additions to any show ever. They are subtle enough and not overly used BUT remain integral.

It's really sad how NBC biased Herc is... 40,000 embedded previews for NBC shows, none for CBS even though 4 of the top 7 shows are on CBS.

i know a lot of people didn't like the premiere but i thought it was funny, and last weeks was really funny. can't wait for person of interest either. i know herc gave it a bad review when the first season premiered so thats why it doesn't get much attention on this site, but i dont get why herc doesnt like it, its a lot of fun.

has to be a better way, I watch NBC every Thursday but I have no Nielsen box so I have no vote. NBC keep Community and Parks going for many more seasons, I watch, just no one is counting me in the ratings, I watch the commercials and everything advertised

I don't think he's watching it. Otherwise he'd be all excited about Amy Acker on again tonight (and hopefully for many episodes to follow). 1.6 these days is more acceptable than it was when "My Generation" premiered. Yeah, I know it was only a few years ago, but that's the state of network TV intertwined with the flawed Nielsen system. Also, I believe audiences are much less eager to jump into a show like Last Resort after their experiences with shows like Flashforward, The Event, Chicago Code, Awake, Ringer, Gifted Man, Pan Am, etc. It's the kind of show that many don't want to get into, only to have it cancelled mid-season, or just not renewed.

She is so not funny, that any scene she is in is automatically ruined. The fact that they have kept her around this long just shows the show runners have no idea what they are doing and that the show should've been canceled before now.

Seriously...How do these two shows do so well in the ratings? The only laughs I've heard generated by these shows are from laugh tracks. Please...someone explain?

Yes...yes I know...show for fags....but it's been reasonably strong so far in terms of plot and character development with minimal amount of cuteness. The issues that have marred previous seasons IMHO.

I also dislike nellie. I get the dry humor they're trying to show. It's just not laugh out loud. I did laugh when she was put in the middle of all the garbage though.

I even didn't hate Nellie, who I usually despise. But there were a lot of quality Office moments tonight (Andy's constant applause, "wrinkly old balls," Dwight teaching Erin [speaking of tear-offable clothing....] Dothraki, the circling around of Jim taking Pam away from Roy by setting up new Jim doing that with Erin and Andy, and Daryl's part right before the commercial break.

didn't realize your ass worked at aintitcool. and herc IS biased. His lack of covering shows that are at the top of the ratings show it every freaking day. A GOOD reviewer covers everything, not just shill for the crap he likes. and parks and rec is crap. The 1.6 proves it.

I was supprised how I quickly they wrapped up Resses search for Finch, but I guess that they needed to get back to the regular episodes of them helping number people and that Rom is still plotting and will pop up again for November sweeps. But great stuff and it was interesting getting to see Rom's backstory and a little insight into her intentions.

Supernatural (although last season was weak) and got NO COVERAGE here for years... Person of Inteterst Criminal Minds Lost Girl Revolution, Elementary and Last Resort all look like they COULD have potential... and yes TBBT.... just because you live with your mother does not give you an excuse to spew hate at a show that most of america loves.

my mistake if you do, it's saying *look like they COULD have potential* is so wishy washy and poorly worded, like I said an opinion that no one will ever care about but you. Enjoy your shows.... insulting people because they don't share your faves is just as bad as the people who insult the shows you like Popularity does not equal quality. Granted, I watch all 3 shows, but its pretty obvious that Elementary is at a higher quality level than those other two i am really enjoying it so far.

I bet that next time that Rom comes back that she goe after Reese to try and prove Finch wrong about him being a good person. Or else she tries to eliminate Reese to try and break Finchs faith in humanity, so that he works with her in freeing the machiene.

I predict one, maybe two more weeks before I'm hooked (which means forced hiatus by mid-November, followed by a Spring cancellation). Person of Interest was great last night. I've often heard about "Oregon Trail" but never played. With old games being repurposed for the new technology, I wonder if there's an APP for that.

Never understood the hate for BBT. I love Community and that show equally. They are both unique in their own way and possess both their own strengths and weaknesses. 30 Rock- I thought it was great. The line with Tracy wanting the oven to be heated just right to help his snake give birth was great. It is interesting how both Liz and Jack are going to destroy the company. Office- The weakest of the new season. I took last season off and only watching this one because it is the last one. They really are trying to make Andy like Michael Scott. It is very obvious. It works sometimes but most of the time it feels forced. Parks and Rec- Still amazing... one of the strongest casts I have ever seen. Ron Swanson is going to become an iconic tv figure.
