So, we're just a few hours away from making history with the first ever official Ain't It Cool News event in the UK. It was a week ago that we made the announcement that we would be screening SINISTER ahead of its release, and now the day is finally upon us. I can't wait to see the film again in the company of those attending, and I greatly look forward to seeing how you all react to my favourite horror movie in recent memory.
This is one final head's up to those who have been in the pursuit of a ticket or two: all those that were made available had been claimed as of last Wednesday night. We have had a couple of cancellations in the meantime, but all tickets have since been reallocated. Given that tickets are free and have been first come, first served – and there have only been such limited quantities available for reallocation – I haven't been able to get the word out except in the Talkbacks and on Twitter, so if you're still after a ticket and you weren't able to get one in time, I strongly suggest that you keep checking the Talkbacks for this post and follow me on Twitter (@BritgeekAICN), as those avenues are where I'll be letting it be known in the event of more cancellations.
As I said the other day, if you definitely cannot make it tonight and you have already claimed tickets, please find your SHOWFILMFIRST confirmation email and cancel your tickets so that they can be reallocated. In the interest of putting on future AICN screenings and events in and around the UK, we need to make this one a success, so even though there isn't a single ticket left, we really need you guys to show up! Don't forget that you need to print your ticket to gain access to the screening.
Ain't It Cool Presents SINISTER takes place tonight at the five-star Charlotte Street Hotel in London. Those attending can meet in the lobby and simply ask for the room. All must be seated in the screening by 7pm sharp. The Charlotte Street Hotel is located at 15-17 Charlotte Street, London W1T 1RJ. It's a minute's walk from Soho Square and the theatre district, within easy reach of the financial centre and is surrounded by some of London's best bars, restaurants and cafés if you're looking for something to do before or after the screening. It's also a short easterly walk away from Tottenham Court Road and Tottenham Court Station. The nearest tube station, however, is Goodge Street.
