What do you get when you put Colin Firth, a scantily clad Alan Rickman and Cameron Diaz playing to her strengths with a Coen brothers' script? A remake of GAMBIT, the 1966 comedy caper starring Michael Caine and Shirley MacLaine, and, from the first international trailer (via MSN UK), not a bad one at that.
This material looks right up the Coens' alley, when you consider some of their previous films have a similar pedigree to them, and... well judge for yourself if director Michael Hoffman does them justice.
GAMBIT originally was set for a Fall 2012 release date, but, as of now, it's sitting in limbo waiting to be scheduled for sometime in 2013.
