Want To Hang The Law On Your Wall?? The Kidd Is Giving Away DREDD 3D One Sheets, Signed By Karl Urban!!
The Kidd here...
My full review of DREDD 3D is yet to come, but here's the short, short version: it's incredibly violent and thoroughly bad-ass. And judging from the reactions coming out of TIFF and Fantastic Fest, I'm certainly not alone in that assessment.
Therefore, with a really strong entry into the comic book movie arena (and while that certainly makes the Stallone film look like a true embarrassment, I thought we should celebrate the occasion... and what better way to do that than by giving you a chance to win a few DREDD 3D one sheets that I managed to get signed by the new Judge Dredd himself, none other than Karl Urban?
I've got FOUR one sheets for the taking, and if you want to take your best shot at laying claim to one of them, here's your task:
Take a picture of you with your best Karl Urban/DREDD scowl in front of the spot where you're going to feature this autographed piece of coolness.
Upload it online somewhere I can see it (NOT Facebook), and then send that link over in the body of your email, along with your name and mailing address to Contests@AintItCool.com with the following subject line exactly (in all CAPS):
I AM THE LAW
If you're missing any of the information I'm asking for, then it's as if you don't even have an entry, no matter how good it may have been. And you've only got ONE shot at this, as only ONE entry is permitted per person. That means if you do it wrong the first time and need to resend it, that's TWO entries, and you're out.
Entries will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. EST on Sunday, September 23, and this contest is available to residents of the U.S. only.
The four best entries for whatever reason I find will be chosen and will have some signed DREDD coming their way.

We need Rogue Trooper, Strontium Dog, the ABC Warriors etc etc. There's a goldmine of great movies sitting within those old pages - can't believe Hollyweird hasn't jumped all over it yet!

...look ridiculous. Don't know if it's the same in the US but in the UK they're not allowed to depict a gun pointing out of the poster towards the person looking at it. But they HAVE to show guns in the poster to show the teenage boys/gun nerds that there are GUS GUNS GUNS in this movie, so rather than have them hold a gun normally, they have to show them side on so you can actually see that it's a gun they're holding - just looks so wrong. See the new Arnold movie poster for more artificial gun holding. Does my head in.

somewhat misleading... at one point in the movie there is a small fire in one building; this makes it look like Mega City is under attack or something!! Anyway, yeah, pretty good movie. No masterpiece but if makes some decent cash we may yet get one in the sequel. It sucks that non-US readers can't enter your competitions, btw, AICN!!

Considering the majority of 2000AD readers are British, it's a shame we're unable to enter. I loved this film and would have loved a shot at winning one of those.

I know. And I couldn't believe it when I watched the POTC movies that there wasn't any giant floating heads in the movie. Talk about false advertising...
