AICN COMICS: DC to release DJANGO UNCHAINED comic to coincide with the movie release! Find out who is drawing the issue here!

Hey folks, Ambush Bug here with a major announcement from DC. Even though it doesn’t have anything to do with comics, I would have to turn in my geek cred card if I wasn’t excited to see Quentin Tarantino’s DJANGO UNCHAINED. Now, comics fans can rejoice to know that there will be a DJANGO UNCHAINED 5 issue miniseries based on the original screenplay including scenes that may not make it into the final theatical cut (in theaters 12/25) and the mini will be drawn by none other than…

Critically acclaimed artist of SCALPED, R.M. Guera!

Look for Issue #1 on sale December 5th which will have a variant by Jim Lee and then a few weeks later, look for Issue #2 on sale January 2! Find out more about this story here!

Now I can’t wait to see the film AND read the comic!

Where Are All the Obama Comics?

    by Marc Cerasini

You couldn't negotiate an aisle in a comic store without tripping over Obama and some damn superhero three years ago. Wot happened? Apparently most comic buyers (middle aged men) don't have jobs anymore and can't buy all those neat-o Obama saves the world comics. Or maybe Mr. Hope and Change has become...a loser. Wonder what all those "collectable" Obama comics are worth now? Less than a roll of Charmin, I'd guess.

    Do we know the writer?

    by SupermanIsMyGod

Is it being adapted by someone else, or are they basically taking QT's screenplay and putting it on a page?

i wonder if he'll draw the characters

    by JAMF

to look like the actors in the film or do his own thing? i'm not sold on any of the casting for this film (bar christoph, i guess) so i'd rather he just drew what's in the script.
