Check out this spy shot from the set of KICK ASS 2!
Hello ladies and gentlemen, Muldoon here with a tiny little bit of "hmm, that's kinda cool." Nothing insanely revealing here, but as I was perusing reddit just now I came across a supposed image taken from the set of KICK ASS 2. I have no clue what the hell is going on here, but apparenlty it's a character named "Mother Russia" played by Ukrainian bodybuilder Olga Kurkulina. (Thanks Gecko!). I guess there'll be no shortage of interesting new superheros/villains in the sequel. I dug the hell out of the first KICK ASS and if KA2 is half as much fun as the first, consider my ass in the theater. Thoughts?

joined (and won!) „I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!“ in Germany last year, and while being elder of course she is still quite in shape. Doesn't change that she only did shitty movies, but she is a very good entertainer celebrating well... herself. Regarding Kick Ass 2 my hopes are very high as i LOVE the first movie (and who doesn't?).

Millar without Vaughn might turn out to be Miller without Rodriguez.....

as the sequel contained too much shock factor for the sake of shock and not much else. The first kick ass comic was fine but Vaughn was able to see what worked and what didn't, expand on what did and cut the shittier elements. Millar having so much involvement in part 2 without Vaughn reminds me of Frank Miller doing The Spirit. He just took what he THOUGHT worked about the previous film based on his material and turned it into a cinematic abortion.

Was looking forwarding on remeniscing. That said, while Big Daddy and Hit Girl did great stuff, Kick Ads was an ugly, unpleasant film...tonally, the attitude of the characters, seeing Cage burn. It usually takes something pretty major to turn me of violent cinema but I felt the need for a shower afterwards. Hope Carrey can give this some kind of boost.

I never understand why a talented writer like Millar wants to demean his audience. Is this thread saying that Hit Girl is gang raped in the second story? That sounds awful! I didn't expect the first movie to be as awesome as it was. I loved it! So sorry it flopped, and a pleasant surprise that a sequel is being made.

(Spoilers, duh!) It's Kick Ass' girlfriend (or in the comics, the girl who Kick Ass liked but rejected him because she thought he was a weirdo), along with a group of kids, the GF's parents, as well as a few of the older superheroes in some rather grotesque ways. Personally, I wish they went with Fred Ward to play the head of the superhero squad (especially considering he played Remo Williams in the 80's).

It is like you guys don't watch movies. There has been a lot of brutal rape in movies, the first gang rape that comes to mind is in Platoon when a bunch of the guys rape a Vietnamese girl, or in I Spit on Your Grave or A Clockwork Orange. There are also plenty of movies where some guys junk get destroyed or eaten, and movies with animal heads inappropriately placed, etc. You can get away with a lot in an R movie.
