Merrick here...

A while back, we posted a write-up of a rather well-done book chronicling the development and history of KNIGHT RIDER (available HERE).  Nick Nugent, that book's author, is now behind a rather extraordinary undertaking - some details of which we wanted to share with you.

It's been 30 years (!?!?!?!?) since the David Hasselhoff starring, Glen A. Larson-created series ran on NBC for four years, before siring various follow-ups (KNIGHT RIDER 2000, KNIGHT RIDER 2010,  a long-gestating feature film is said to be in the works, etc).  To commemorate this anniversary, Nugent and a team of extremely hard-working and wholly dedicated souls are busting their asses to bring us The KNIGHT RIDER Reunion - which is happening October 5-7 at The Beverly Garland Holiday in Universal City, CA.

If you're traveling to the event, you can book your stay at The Beverly Garland Holiday Inn, a screen used location seen in five episodes of the series (Hearts of Stone, Forget Me Not, Let It Be Me, Speed Demons, Custom KITT)  - a  special reduced group rate of $139.00 per night will end this coming Friday, September 14th.   You can book your stay at the following url using the group code "KRR."  All guests who book will recieve (1) free admission to the event and a special limited edition print!  Book HERE, using group code "KRR."

A bevy of special guests has been lined up - conspicuously, a few slots are being left open to accommodate surprise guests and appearances.  While I can't vouch for which of these mystery folks will actually end up attending, I do know the identities of one or two of these potential special guests and I'll say...they're interesting and important folks to Geek culture in general, and definitely should not be missed.

Currently confirmed guests include: composers Stu Phillips and Don Peake, producer Ron Martinez, writer/producer Burton Armus, Hasselhoff stunt double Terry James, Assistant Director Louis Race, K.I.T.T. designer Michael Scheffe, actors Peter Parros, Jeff Osterhage, Richard Anderson (YES!!!!!), Daphne Ashbrook, Rebeca Holden, KNIGHT RIDER 2000's Carmen Argenziano, and KNIGHT RIDER historians A.J. Palmgren and Joe Huth IV.

Per the happening's official site, event highlights include...
