Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes Pic!
I have a treat for you today. Logan’s Run has many things going for it… a cool premise (don’t trust anyone over 30… that isn’t me, of course), a neat kitschy sci-fi vibe and some of the most revealing costuming of any sci-fi fantasy this side of Barbarella. When you have revealing outfits and ‘70s era Jenny Agutter in your cast then you end up with hotness like today’s picture.
Speaking of Agutter… think of this: There’s a whole generation of movie nerds who will know her as “that mysterious counsel lady that’s bitchy towards Nick Fury in The Avengers.” Not “that hot British nurse in An American Werewolf in London” or “the goddess that runs with Logan.” We’re getting old, folks.

I'd love this picture to be embiggable, but not for any salacious reasons (seriously). I mean, you can see Jenny nude in any number of films. What I want to know is due to the shadows there I can't tell if she's wearing a bodysuit or something else under there and that's kind of historical information (and isn't that the point of these photos?). So where's the larger image for us to judge? (I'm guessing this is the largest he has, for that very reason). I remember watching this film and thinking "she has to be nude under there" but now I'm not so sure.

We studied the book Walkabout at school. So when the teacher discovered there was a film she let us watch it. Brilliant.

I was pounding on the screen in an attempt to embiggen, hahaha... re: The Avengers She was one of the "counsel" members you only saw on video.

Alas, it was Harry Potter and not Jessica that disrobed. Great to see her live on stage!

Prior to release the film was previewed and included a number of sequences that were cut or shortened prior to the general release of the film. This included a longer sequence in the ice cave where Box asked Logan and Jessica to pose for his ice sculpture. This sequence was cut partially due to extensive nudity so that the film could receive a PG rating and partially due to the length of the scene. There were also several other sequences cut from the film including a sequence where Francis hunts down a runner by himself at the beginning of the film and other sequences that were trimmed. These sequences survive in the shooting script for the film but the footage itself appears lost.

Such a weird, turn off name for such a hot girl. No remake though. These fucking movies are all the same. A high concept sci-fi setup and an hour long chase scene. I don't have to list them, you all know the ones.

Now your talking. Also - Logan's Run looks awful nowadays - incredible to think Star Wars was released just a year later, it looks so much better in every conceivable way.

Besides Sylvia Kristel, Jenny Agutter was one of the hottest onscreen actresses. Pure gold! Btw.: I still love Logan's Run, besides its cheesiness it was working as a socially critical movie. Actually, it hasn't lost a bit of it's message... But still: cheesy regarding production values. They shouldn't have gotten rid of those extra Jenny scenes, though. Lost forever? Too bad...

In the theater. Loved seeing the domes and the little transports in the glass tubes. The chicks were hot. The story was pretty cool for my young mind. So about a year or two ago I saw a DVD of it on the clearance rack. "Neato!" I says to myself. Popped it into the player and realized you can't go home sometimes. Erff that was hard to watch.

Jenny Agutter is appearing in a new PBS series starting on September 30th. - "Call the Midwife". She plays a nun. I cannot imagine what her fans from the 70's will make of that.

It's a good, if kind of trippy, movie in its own right. It's got Peter Ustinov in it (albeit later). It's got a Jerry Goldsmith score. And, if absolutely nothing else, Jenny Agutter and Farrah Fawcett get into a catfight. A very, very, depressingly brief catfight, but still...

You mean those people on the big-screens so anonymously shadowy they might as well be like those blacked-out faces with voice-distortion disguises that 60 Minutes uses to mask the identity of some whistleblower they're interviewing? Right. I'm sure she reeeeeeeeeeeeally made an impression on everyone who didn't already know she was in the movie. <p> <p>Anyway. If anybody hears "Jenny Agutter" and thinks "Logan's Run" or "American Werewolf in London", they need to pull their head out of the trash. "Walkabout" is the first thing that should ever come to mind.

it's inferior to,(and i can't believe i'm saying this), George Lucas', "THX-1138": The haunting and clinical look of that film, added to the dystopian atmosphere. Still think it's one of the best films of the 70's. Still, "Logan's Run" is enjoyable: Jenny Agutter is fooking gorgeous in it. With a bonkers Jerry Goldsmith score to boot.
