Images From The Fast-Approaching VENTURE BROS. Halloween Special And A New Status Report On Season Five!!

It’s been nearly two years since the original airing of “Operation P.R.O.M.,” the last real new “Venture Bros.” installment, but new adventures of Rusty, Brock, Dean, Hank, et al are rocketing our way.
The first we’ll see is the Halloween special, which doesn’t yet have an exact airdate but arrives sometime in October.
Here’s an update from series mastermind Jackson Publick, as posted on his Publick Nuisance:
… we're just wrapping up pre-production on season 5 of The Venture Bros. We ship our last episode (which is actually the second half of what will be the premiere episode) to Korea this week. All other episodes have shipped, and all of the art staff (except for few stragglers in the Color department) have gone home. We're received take one rough cuts of the first two episodes from the overseas studio already and are expecting the third this week. Which means we're about to start post-production. The Halloween episode is obviously the first one we'll edit and deliver, since it has to make it's October airdate (the official date has yet to be determined). JG Thirlwell has already completed his genuinely spooky score (we drew some inspiration from the soundtrack to Klute when we first met about this episode a few months ago) and we're just waiting on some animation retakes from Korea before Doc works his magic on the titling and transitions and adds his special sauce to select sequences.Doc's currently on a train back from Atlanta, but when he returns to the AstroBase, we'll no doubt start talking more earnestly about writing our planned long form special, to be produced some time between seasons 5 and 6. We've already had a lot of "big idea" discussions about season 6 as well, so I'm hoping we get to work on all of this stuff sooner rather than later and we don't make you people wait 2 years between seasons again.
Find a total of five images from the Halloween episode here.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Team Venture NAP.
-
I've done that. It costs almost as much as flying and it takes nearly 24 hours
-
I take trains whenever I can. They don't cost almost as much as flights. Almost as much as a special, red-eye, no-frills, book only 1 day in advance? Perhaps. But, not as much as a standard fare. Yes they take longer, but I feel I can get a lott of work done on a train. Not to mention there is none of the mess of getting through an airport, much much MUCH more leg room, and the ability to get up and go to viewing cars, cafe cars; hell, the last train I was on had a goddamn arcade!

Trust me

I'll probably need a recap trailer or previously on montage - same goes for Arrested Development

They need to make a Hentai starring the female characters of Venture Bros. immediately...

...You all know you agree with me.

Best take-aways? Killinger will be back, might die Brock appears to be living with the boys again No sign of Hatred (from the footage they showed anyway) Episode 4 is apparently a doozy Jackson said his favorite line from this season is from The Monarch: "YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE MY KHALEESI!"
-
Why not just watch them all again? It's been a long wait, but I'm sure it'll be worth it. Regarding train versus plane; correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Doc has Ménière’s disease which makes flying uncomfortable for him. I wonder if we'll get them in the UK. I think only a few seasons have been shown here. A travesty.

This show lost its way. Way too much Captain Hatred. I hope they do a a episode with real actors or at least a scene or two.

I wholeheartedly agree. And thank the dugongs every day.
-
They became obsessed with pedophile jokes, they wrote Brock out of the series for too long, they confused "weird" with "funny", and they quit caring if episodes made any sense at all.

Venture bro's is at the point, where if it is remade they know exactly what makes it Funny. Brock and Monarch sub-plots

Warburton just wasn't available as much that season (seeing as he also had full time roles on Family Guy, Rules of Engagement, and Scooby Doo: Mystery Inc.), so they had to work around his schedule, and since it's freed up a bit more, they're working him back in more and more. Like I said, it looks like he's back to his original role this season.

If you guys are Americans, How come you don`t understand you`re own homegrown comedy ?
by higgledyhiggles
I guess the reason Brock is so popular is because he`s loud, swears and kills people to a `rock` soundtrack. There`s your answer. I despair for your tastes. This has been a drive by trolling. Thank you for your custom.

He took our jerbs

pffft... anyone sayin the last season was crap is incorrect.
by goatboy500
the last season was awesome. All series of venture brothers are awesome (even series 3 which i disliked on first viewing but enjoy much more now), yeah I missed Brock for most of the season, and Sgt. Hatred was a bad joke run too thin, but agent 24 becoming a bad ass and Sphinx setting up in the venture compound more than made up for it. Jeez you guys are hard to please. If a show stays the same you all complain about a lack of progression, but when a show actually attempts to flesh out its universe you all complain it;s not like it used to be.

. . . or are they just going to write in Penn State references now . . . ?
-
That is totally unacceptable. Go Team Venture! No really, go to work.

Finding out Dermott's true parentage kind of killed the character for me
by rev_skarekroe
I liked it way better when we thought he was Brock's disappointing progeny.
-
He needs his own Madden bus or something.
-
who's his parents?
-
theyre always getting into trouble. Dean is a bitch compared to hank... lol.
-
...were revealed to be Doc Venture and a (then) underaged fan (who also took Hank's viriginity) making Dermott the third Venture Brother.
-
. . . I remember the prom episode but thought the finale was when Dr. Venture went into the portal in that fat guy's stomach. Guy who wanted to join Phantom Limb's new team of villains . . .
-
And I missed practically all of Season 4. I need to find it so I can do a recap.

I like the one with uncomfortable jokes about fucking young boys...
by Billyeveryteen
Sigh... How about some slutty chicks? Mayhaps Triana's arch-curious friend?
-
for being so awesome and taking so long. i guess i get the criticisms, but venture bros is NOT really a good show if you watch an ep at a time, week by week. theres so much little shit goin on that you will miss it unless you literally just stop watching the previous ep i hate how it takes so long for this show, but in a way, it makes me feel good about my wait for the new GoT season PS: I dunno what could be the more confusing story, GoT or VB
-
...hopefully returns. Great direction they took him in. I also hope the creators of the show don't listen to the whining fanboys' suggestions.
-
Seriously, it's not like you can't mine that for comedy gold but there's a trick to it and you have to be really careful. Sgt Hatred as a regular is too involved for it to be consistently funny and it just seemed like they were trying to shoehorn a Pedo joke in every scene.
