AICN Exclusive: Spoke Art and Castro Theatre's VERTIGO Limited Prints!

"Monty Cristo" here.

The Castro Theatre in San Francisco is celebrating Alfred Hitchcock's magnificent VERTIGO with 70mm screenings this weekend by releasing a pair of limited edition screenprints produced by the great people at Spoke Art, one by Sam Smith and one by Chuck Sperry. They are for sale as of right now on the Spoke Art store. Click here to buy while they last!

Sam Smith - "Vertigo"
screen print
edition of 100
18" x 24"
$40

I first became aware of Sam Smith's work as an artist with his iconic work for HOUSE, which I'd argue has become as well-known for the poster and stickers as it has (rightfully) for being totally nuts. Here's where you can find more of his work and here's his blog.

Chuck Sperry - "Vertigo"
screen print
edition of 200
18" x 24"
$50

If I were a better limited paper goods collector, I'd be more versed with the work of Chuck Sperry, but a few glances around his website quickly reveal that he's rightfully recognized as a big name in rock posters. Without knowing his name, I recognize his style immediately.

If you're in San Fran, these prints will also be on sale at this weekend's screenings of VERTIGO at the gorgeous Castro Theatre:

Friday, August 31st
8pm

Saturday, September 1st
2pm, 5pm, 8pm

If you miss an opportunity to see VERTIGO in 70mm, you may not have many chances, even if it is #1 on the Sight & Sound list!
