X-Men: The Last Stand from Hot Toys

Hugh Jackman,   love him or hate him, is the only cinematic version of Logan we have. He’s seen our beloved hero through the high’s (X2) and the low’s (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) of the mutant movie universe. In appreciation for his years of service, Hot Toys has commemorated his ongoing run in the movies with this 1/6 scale action figure. It’s based on the third installment in the X-Men film franchise. The figure features a new head sculpt of Jackman, 3 pairs of interchangeable hands, a highly detailed X-Men suit, a movie-accurate figure stand and a body that sports more than 30 points of articulation. It will release in March or you can pre-order it here.

Terminator Wave 3 from NECA

Terminator fans have been asking for it. Soon, NECA will make their wishes a reality. Kyle Reese will get his own 7-inch scale action figure. Based on his appearance in the 1984 film, Reese will come with a shotgun and a photo of Sarah Connor. Also included in the new wave are a liquid nitrogen version of the T-1000 and Tanker Truck Pursuit T-800. These will arrive in October or you can pre-order them here.

Hanna-Barbara Characters from Jazwares

Huckleberry Hound, Hong Kong Phooey, and Space Ghost make up the latest wave of 6-inch figures based off the Hanna-Barbara catalog of cartoons. Each figure sports multiple points of articulation and character specific accessories. The good news: the figures come in at a low price-point for this kind of scale ($11). The bad news: Jazwares has an infamous history of using cheap plastic and paint applications. This review didn't have the nicest things to say about the Space Ghost figure. They’re up for pre-order here or you can wait for them to hit your local retailer in the next few days, if they haven't already.

DC Unlimited and Batman Unlimited from Mattel

If you like your Batman beefy like a Masters of the Universe figure, Mattel has you covered with a new Dark Knight Returns version of the Caped Crusader. Joining him in the next Batman Unlimited wave of figures is Planet X Batman with Bat-Mite. The DC wave features Wonder Woman and the Injustice video game version of Batman. Look for these in the first quarter of 2013 or you can pre-order them here.

Alice: Madness Returns from Diamond Select Toys

Based on the new videogame Alice: Madness Returns, Art Asylum and Diamond Select Toys have put together a new line 7-inch scale line of action figures featuring the titular character, her hysteria version, a Card Guard and the Cheshire Cat. These should be hitting retail any day now or you can order them online here.

And finally this week, kudos are in order for the guy who put together this faux 1980's commercial for a line of 3.75-inch scale The Thing action figures. I would totally buy the entire set...
