AICN Exclusive Clip: PAINTED SKIN 2 - THE RESURRECTION (plus WHITE VENGEANCE)

Well Go USA has just sent over an exclusive clip for Chinese supernatural action movie PAINTED SKIN 2: THE RESURRECTION. The sequel to a wildly successful movie, this one finds a fiendish fox spirit trying to steal the heart of a princess (Zhao Wei/Vicky Zhao, RED CLIFF, MULAN). The princess is the one with the golden half-face mask on posters and in the clip below. It opens this weekend in very limited release in 5 US cities and one in Canada.

In addition to that clip, they sent over the trailer for WHITE VENGEANCE, which continues the epic historical fiction action story of RED CLIFF by going back in history to the first big conflict of the Han Dynasty, which (SPOILER ALERT) falls by the end of RED CLIFF.
WHITE VENGEANCE is on Blu-ray and DVD on September 4th.

News flash: the Colonists won the American War for Independence. The fall of the Han Dynasty almost 2000 years ago is not a spoiler. I don't consider it a spoiler when it's not only something that's a landmark historical fact, but is featured in widely-distributed synopses of the movie ("the story of the epic battle that ended the Han Dynasty").

Saw it a month ago in Asia. Guess they are playing in a coupla theaters in L.A., S.F., N.Y. where there's an Aisan populaton. Decent production value. Box office success in Asia. If you liked the first one you MIGHT like the 2nd one. I think the first one is better. Donnie Yen didn't return. The clip on AICN, that's the most most suspensful scene in the flick. The woman drinking the potion was changing her skin(appearance) with the ghost so she could get her man really in love with her.
