Get Ready To Drink To Your Leg To Win JAWS On Blu-ray!!

What more do I really need to say other than JAWS finally is available on Blu-ray today... and I've got my hands on TEN copies, thanks to Universal Studios Home Entertainment, that I'm putting up for grabs to you, the fine readers of Ain't It Cool News.
I've been struggling all day with coming up with a contest that fits a home release of this magnitude, and so I went to our resident JAWS expert Quint for some ideas, and he passed along a good one.
We all know the scene in the bowels of the Orca, where Quint and Hooper are comparing wounds and sharing scar stories, much to the chagrin of Brody who has no tales that can match their experiences.
Well, guess what...? It's your turn to share your best scar story, wherever it is.
Lay it all out for me (and pics can only help your cause, so I know you're not just making it up), and I'll pick the TEN best war stories, and together we'll all drink to our legs or arms or whatever with brand spankin' new copies of JAWS (complete with Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Copy in that Universal 100th Anniversary Combo Pack).
In the body of the email, send your name, mailing address and story to Contests@AintItCool.com with the following subject line exactly (in all CAPS):
I GOT THAT BEAT
If you're missing any of the information I'm asking for, then it's as if you don't even have an entry, no matter how good it may have been.
Entries will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. EST on Friday, August 17.
Only ONE entry permitted per person, and this contest is only available to residents of the U.S. and Canada.

too much work...no time to write a thesis or recall stories...to get into BNAT seems like you have to write a dissertation with video...I'm not in college anymore

And why email at all? Why not share our stories in the talkback and then you pick the winners, we send our emails and/or mailing address only if we won. If we won and don't respond within a certain time limit, the prize goes to a runner up. But no, you want all our information so that you can sell our address to receive advertising junk mail. I'd love to enter this contest, but refuse to give out my mailing address unless I know for sure that I won.

They need the info upfront so they don't spend countless man hours trying to contact the winners. I've witnessed contests run the way you describe and they're nightmares. I've sent AICN my personal info on countless occasions and I've never received solicitations afterward. From my experiences, they are totally honest.

Well, that Best Buy book looks great. I'm sure JAWS fans will scan it to the web, though. At least the discs have art on them, unlike the standard release.
