Hans Zimmer Is Giving You A Reason To Help Those In Aurora, Colorado!!

The Kidd here...

Last weekend, the world at-large was deeply affected by the awful events that took place in Aurora, Colorado. The movie theatre should be a sacred place where we can be safely swept away by great stories for a couple of hours anytime we'd like. Whether it's THE DARK KNIGHT RISES or THE TWILIGHT SAGA, that is something that should be afforded to everyone everywhere at any time.

Since last week's tragedy, I've been emailed with all sorts of ideas from people looking to do something, wanting to contribute in some way in order to help the victims and their families in Aurora. You've taken what happened personally, as have so many of us, and you want to help.

Well, Hans Zimmer is hoping to mobilize your aid, and here's your chance to do something for those in Colorado.

Hans Zimmer, who did compose the musical score for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, has now created an entirely new musical composition entitled "Aurora." He recorded it in recent days in London as a tribute to those who lost their lives and those who are still recovering from injuries sustained as a result of what happened.

You can purchase the song on iTunes for the usual $1.29 or you can donate directly down below any amount you choose:

100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Aurora Victim Relief organization through GivingFirst.org.

As you can see, this is a really good cause, and I'm not one typically for calls to action, but, if plenty of our Ain't It Cool readers give something to the people here who really need it here, that's something pretty amazing we've done to assist a bunch of people just like us, who wanted nothing more than to geek out at midnight over a movie they'd been anticipating for awhile.
