Hey out there in Comicland! It is I, superhero, dropping you a line to let you know about Ben Caldwell's new Kickstarter campaign!
Actually, the campaign isn't so new…it's been going on for a little while but I ran into Mr. Caldwell at Comic-Con this year and he gave me the lowdown on it. It looks like Caldwell is setting out to raise funds to print up a sourcebook for his popular kids series THE DARE DETECTIVES. This looks to be an old-fashioned RPG (Role Playing Game) type guide for all of the characters bounding through the pages of his terrific all ages book! It's called THE DARE DETECTIVES: THE MISFITS MANUAL. Make sure to click here to support it. It's worth the money and he's giving away some neat rewards for the people who support it! I've dropped some funds into it and you should too!
For those not in the know Ben Caldwell is an amazingly talented cartoonist/illustrator famous for his work on his own series of books on cartooning instruction (series ACTION! CARTOONING and FANTASY CARTOONING) as well as his work on ALL-ACTION CLASSICS.
He's also done some great work on a young reader series of Wonder Woman books and has his hand in more animation and toy design projects than you can poke a stick at!In September his version of the ALL-ACTION CLASSICS adaptation of THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ will be released. He was showing pages at his table at Comic-Con and let me tell you it was some beautifully breathtaking stuff!
