Try to watch a 1978 film called Planet Wars aka Brazillian Star Wars. It is the worse movie ever made. It's much, MUCH worse than Manos.

Nope, sorry still not following you. I thought the article said someone was restoring Manos: The Hands of Fate for release on Blu-Ray. That can't be right though because it's fucking MANOS:THE HANDS OF FATE! Restored.....on....blu-ray......GAH! NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! (removes clothes, sits in corner naked, covers himself in fancy feast, rocking back and forth, hugs his knees and drools. He can't wrap his head around the idea that someone is wasting their time restoring MANOS: THE HANDS OF FATE for release on blu-ray). no...no...no...no....no...no...no...I don't....I just don't.....no....no...no...no...no...OOOOoooo....all the little birdies, they sing only to me!!! HEHEHEHEHE.....oh and did you know? Pop-Tarts also work as heat shielding for atmospheric re-entry, it's true! Ganesh told me so! ....'drool.

I know it sounds good, but it has neither a monster, nor a-go-go. That said, it makes me feel so good to know this is being restored. I look forward to the inevitable screenings at the Alamo Drafthouse where the beer they serve will be well needed.

If I recall, it was in the beginning, during the seemingly endless shots of countryside passing by - footage that was supposed to have credits running over it, but didn't (one of many errors made during the film's production), if I remember the story correctly. Can anyone confirm that?

It was too good, and too necessary - there's just so much nothing in this film. IMO, it's one of those MST3K films that cannot stand on its own at all. Some may disagree. What the guys do with the Torgo bit throughout the film is worth it alone.

If Cinematic Titanic did more live shows outside of the west coast, I would be there in a second. But don't knock Riff Trax. I watched the live show they did of House on Haunted Hill and it was pretty damn funny. Can't wait to see what they do with Manos this go-round. But I would love to see Joel et al in person as well.
