Farewell and adieu to you fair Spanish ladies… Robert Shaw/Jaws fans need to see this.
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I want to show you a photo of actor Robert Shaw as Quint. Check it out:
You might think that’s a behind the scenes shot from the making of Jaws, but you’d be fucking wrong. That is a sculpt made for Greg Nicotero by the obviously super-talented Nick Marra (with just as incredible hair work by Denise Leibee Baer).
Apparently this sucker will be a full sized Robert Shaw recreation and he will be on display at Jawsfest in Martha’s Vineyard next month and he won’t be alone. Word is Marra is also doing Roy Scheider's Brody and Richard Dreyfuss' Hooper, too.
It looks like I’ll be headed up to Jawsfest myself, so here’s the real question: What’s the best way to ship three stolen full people-sized sculptures from Martha’s Vineyard to Texas? Because one way or another those will be mine, damn it!
Jesus, look at that again. That’s incredible. Robert Shaw has returned from the grave!

Get a large shark to swallow the figures, then swim along the eastern sea board, around Florida, and over to Texas. Apparently those three characters are very appealing to large sharks, so you shouldn't have a problem getting them in. There, problem solved. Just don't use the shark from Jaws 3. He'll get one of them stuck in his teeth - no matter how improbable that might be.

There's a lot of craft here that's cool, but remember that the angle, the lighting and everything in the picture contributes. It photographs well, but how does it look to the naked eye?

I loved him, naturally, in Jaws, amazing, but his performance in The Taking of Pelham 123 was fantastic too. I must take a spin down to Mayo to see the memorial to him. He lived here in Ireland at the end.
