Cancelled prematurely? Check. Fervent fan following? Check. Feature film against all odds? Check. Actors and creators who actually give a shit about their fans' support? Check. And now its star has another successful TV series and its creator just directed the third most successful film in history. So what the fuck has to happen for "Serenity 2" to be greenlit and the franchise to continue?!?

Those were his tv series that last a long time, spawn comics, and quite popular. Firefly was a decent series only because of Adam Baldwin and NOT because of Fillion or Glau! He should be trying to get a Buffy and/or Angel tv movies going. I do recognize that Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Borenza(?) seems to always wanna distant themselves, while the Firefly casts embraces it. Oh well.

and loved every minute. I could spend even more hours watching these people talk and never get bored. That cast was magical... something special about them. I hope all of this attention leads to something new. Even if it's audio adventures, maybe a new movie.

It's muffled... but it sounded like it. Anyway... there are some great moment in the press conference from everyone... well.. except Summer. She remained clammed up (except for crying a bit... aww... just want to give her a hug) for the panel and the press conference. For the most part. Enjoy!

Wish I was there. But, seeing this, I felt that I was. Joss is truly one of "us". Albeit, a much richer "one of us". But, still, he has the pull to produce, write, and direct those stories that the studio stooges think won't "sell". More power to them all. And, I'm looking forward to the next project that Joss and his troupe come up with.

Even a TV movie once a year would be enough to keep us flying. The original 2 hour pilot episode "Serenity" (not to be confused with the movie) was top notch in quality and story, and sits high above the actual movie in my mind. So, of course, FOX aired it only after the show had already been cancelled.

Love me some gossip but these days it`s just easy to make shit up and wait for someone to debunk it in an article no-one ever sees. Tom Cruis and Katie Holmes are a prime example. Lots of `sources` and pure speculation that Scientology is just as depicted in South Park. I want it to be true but I`m older now and just that much more cynical.

While I agree he looks the type, that was the last episode they shot, and it sounds like this is something that happened early on in the season. I'm ruling out Mark Sheppard since they brought him back a 2nd time, and Whedon speaks so highly of him in the commentary.

...still has her great curvy figure, but all the men are towering over her, she looks like Scarjo, a curvy proportions but realitvely tiny girl But on Mad men she's almost eye to eye with Draper and Sterling and the rest, she looks like this statuesque fertility goddess.

It never got a chance to get bad. All the actors were at the top of their game and no one was tired. So many shows start strong and whither away. I'm kind of glad that I can point to my box set and say, "yeah, all of those were good". My other favorite show, "My So Called Life" was exactly the same. One elegant season. At least Serenity was able to tie up all the loose ends.

but even in the above posted clip I don't seem to be finding it. On the one hand the panel is a bummer for missing a few key cast members, on the other hand my attention tended to wander anytime it wasn't Alan, Nathan, or Joss talking (not because I liked them best, they were just the most entertaining...and I like them best), so maybe its good there weren't more cast members to stretch things thin. But watching this is going to send me back to revisiting the series+movie, thank you Netflix streaming! And no more Buffy/Angel/Firefly comics! I want Joss to get back into the world of Fray! Its the one that works best because it was made as a comic! All those other series don't work for me due either to the writing, or in Firefly's case, the actors so embody those characters for me seeing them in comic form just feels lifeless.
