Hugh Jackman May Cross Paths With Jessica Biel In THE WOLVERINE!!

The Kidd here...
It may not be long before you find Jessica Biel taking her place in the 20th Century Fox community of the Marvel Movie Universe, as she's been offered the role of Viper, otherwise known as Madame Hydra, in THE WOLVERINE, the James Mangold-directed follow-up to X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, per Twitch.
There's always the chance that Biel may turn the offer down, but considering she's been angling for bigger roles in films like this over the past few years, I don't see Biel passing on the chance to be involved in a tent pole release that could position her for more opportunities in the future.
Viper has a place in the Marvel Universe dealing with quite a few characters over the years from the X-Men to Nick Fury to Spider-Man and many more. But as for her involvement with Wolverine, she did convince Logan to marry her in order to try seizing the throne of the island of Madripoor, in order to fulfull an oath of loyalty to her he took before the death of their mutual mentor Seraph. She also employed the Silver Samurai, a role recently taken by Will Yun Lee and who figures prominently in THE WOLVERINE, as her bodyguard.
We could do a lot worse than having to stare at Jessica Biel in a WOLVERINE movie. In fact, just her presence already makes this better than ORIGINS.

and if she wears the same outfit during the whole movie that she's wearing in that picture, count me in at the midnight showing!

The problem with sultry female villains in comic book/action movies...
by LetTheWookieWin
The actresses tend to really ham it up. But maybe it's because they don't get good actresses. I'm thinking Marissa Miller GI Joe territory for this role.

Marissa Millerl GI Joe *bad* territory

Those two movies are a hard act to follow.

Because of that picture, at this very moment, I am involved in my own tent pole release.

Why, oh yeah Aronofsky left and all expectations need to be shattered
by ass clown
Why did Aronofsky tease me? He was going to make something new and memorable. It was gonna be an amazing piece of cinema. It was all for naught and now the studios have taken over. Jessica Biel is the first of many horrible decisions to come. Im expecting something on par with Wolverine 1 now.
-
they hire talent(ish, scojo sucks) When Fox hires for their movies - they hire T&A - names - don't worry if they can act

With a photo like that, movie should be called "The Wolverine Rises"
by matchesmalone2380
it's too easy. Quick question about the rights to the Viper character. Viper first showed up in Captain America, which is owned by Marvel and not 20th Century Fox. Considering the bitch fest of Studios not crossing characters, how can marvel be cool with them giving the character to 20th Century Fox to use for Wolverine, but not the other way around? Funny considering how Marvel wanted a Wolverine Cameo in Captain America, but Fox wouldn't allow it.

all the hate for the 1st Wolv movie. I thought it was pretty cool! Yeah it would have been better rated R but they aint gonna make money by cutting the pre 17's out. The guy playing SaberTooth was AWESOME!! He NAILED it. WAY better then the mindless retard they have in the 1st X-Men movie. And the fight at the end on top of the cooling tower was really cool I thought. Bring on Wolvie 2!!!
-
that Timberlake saved the lives of countless sick orphans in a past life.

That was Sienna Miller.

So Wolverine films are where the cast of Blade Trinity reside..
by Axl Z
Wonder who Wesley will play in Wolverine 3?
-
How does this girl keep getting work? And don't tell me it's because she's attractive, because there are plenty of gorgeous chicks out there who CAN act waitressing it up or starring in your local theatre's production of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf.
-
...Hydra characters for film use? ...in name OR just image?
-
Maybe one where she's on a red carpet, or a still from one of her films? Or was this the only one available?

jemagee - totally agree. T&A to bring in all the masturbating 14 year olds. Fuck if they can actually act...

-
when they say jessica biel has a BIG BUBBLE BUTT. no, she has a nice, toned ass. a BIG BUBBLE BUTT is what Nicki Minaj, JLo, Scarlett Johannson has
-
If Hydra appeared in Captain America. Doesnt Marvel own the rights to all Hydra characters?
-
July 13, 2012, 3:09 p.m. CST
Hey axl z, they need to cast HHH and Wesley Snipes to compete the Blade Trinity thing, but those decisions are not far fetched
by ass clown
Aronofsky + The Wolveine = Awesome. Fox Studios Taking Over + The Wolverine = X-Men 3, Spiderman 3, Batman and Robin, and Blade Trinity
-
Post of the year.
I just spit up my soda choking back uncontrollable laughter at that analysis.
-
(without dying her hair green) and Marvel Studios will call her Madame Hydra.
-
Why not? Physically she can handle it. She actually does remind me a bit of Viper.

Yep, you hate her, you want her, and thus no one would make you all happy
by Patch
I mean, I didn't even have to scroll down to know that no one would be happy with this. Guys (and that one girl) cmon. Why is she a bad choice? SHe's beautiful, she's talented, she's stoked to be in a comic book movie. Why why why do you have to find fault with this???!?!?! Just prove me wrong, just once...

Wolverine: Origins can only get better at this point...
by Darth Macchio
And Biel was perfectly fine (pun intended) in A-Team. Which was infinitely more entertaining than Wolverine:Origins.

but so fucking nice to look at.

Why hasn't anyone fast this beauty as a Goddess yet? Hell, even an Amazonian (hint hint, WB).
-
July 13, 2012, 4:45 p.m. CST
she's a fine actress in no brainer fair... like superhero movies
by antonphd
she's perfect for this movie and i say that despite the bitter taste i still have in my mouth after walking into the living room once and witnessing the evil that was 7th heaven as my visiting mother in law watched it oh god i have to wash my hands
-
Does anyone thing what she did in 1st class was actually acting? She's got a nice rack but wtf? I haven't seen her tv series - is she as "non-acting" in that as she was in 1st c? It also helps that she's much more attractive too.
-
Good God why? She's never done anything to deserve anyone's ire. Other than to choose to sleep with Justin Timberlake rather than you, of course.
-
I'm not talking just fine or average or serviceable, I'm talking BAD. Or are some of you just talking nonsense?
-
July 13, 2012, 5:14 p.m. CST
She was the only reason i watched the ultra shit burger that was Stealth, she has no noticable acting ability...but she's sure purdy......
by cameron
Given that the much more talented - and just as shmexy - Lynn Collins grabbed a paycheck for Wolverine no reason why Jess can't do the same.

Biel and the guy who directed KNIGHT & DAY. 20th Century Fox just doesn't give a fuck. But, remember... We must stay POSITIVE. Don't go picking on the major Hollywood studio or millionaire celebrities! Here is a list of complacent reactions you might be able to use: "Not my first choice, but I'll wait and see what happens." "3:10 TO YUMA was pretty good..." "WALK THE LINE had great performances." "Wolverine is a BADASS!!" "Jessica Biel is HOT!!" "Not all movies can be CITIZEN KANE." "Geez, you guys complain about EVERYTHING." "Are there any movies you DO like??" "X-MEN: FIRST CLASS was good!" etc.
-
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Love Hugh Jackman, but, this character needs a fresh start with a different actor. This version of Wolverine has too many ties with bad films to care at this point.
-
...give me Jessica Rabbit anyday. Now THERE'S a woman!
-
...Easy Virtue was fun and showed off her chops. Girl just needs a better agent.
-
Hmm. That is way better than Abbie Cornish.

U do know wolverine is part of marvel right?!? Idiots!!

Wolverine (and X-Men 3) aren't nearly as bad as most fanboys whine about, but I think the ending to Wolverine would have been an instant classic if only they let Deadpool be Deadpool.
by R Howell
That weird mouthless thing was the most baffling choice of the whole movie, and I think more then any other aspect is what haters dislike most. I think the director, writer and studio made a HUGE mistake and missed the perfect oppertunity to have the ACTUAL Deadpool, played by a talking and maybe costumed Ryan Reynolds, would have been EXACTLY what this movie needed to become a classic. Most critics agree that his appearance as Wade Wilson early in the movie was the best part, and Ryan sold the hell out of the character. I still don't know why they haven't made a move to sign him to a Deadpool movie, especially when the character is so popular in the comic and would make an AWESOME movie if done right.

She's hot, not a terrible actress, and nailed the physicality part of her role in Blade: Trinity. (That movie sucked, but it was hardly because of her)
-
...think about that for a second. Your supposedly "badass" hero is going to get his ass handed to him by the chick from "7th Heaven". How do I know this? History. X-MEN: The supreme bad motherfucker Logan ...gets beat up by a naked blue Victoria's Secret model. X-2: The supreme bad motherfucker Logan ...gets beat up by 5' 5" Kelly Hu. X-MEN 3: The supreme bad motherfucker Logan ...walks around smoking a cigar and screams "Jean!" every five minutes. WOLVERINE: The supreme bad motherfucker Logan ...gets thrown through stuff by Liev Schreiber and shot in the head by Danny Huston. My friends, the truth must be stated at last: Wolverine is the most over-hyped "badass" in cinema history. 5' 3" guy tearing down superhumans who are seven feet tall with indestructable claws? Badass. 6' 2" guy with A Flock of Seagulls haircut, getting beat up by Kelly Hu, Rebecca Romijn and Famke Janssen? Not a badass. Search your hearts, you know it to be true.

Damn that curly haired muppet, he doesn't deserve that amazing ass. Biel is an average actress at best and she does No harm in movies. Her agent wants firing though because she's been in some right shit. She's never the worst thing in that shit though. She's undeniably beautiful to an amazing degree and she'll be ok in this I'm sure. The problem is NOBODY wants to see her try to act but just get that ass out for some grinding. Oh well...............Timberlake you lucky fuck.
-
Forget Wolverin, I can't wait to see Hugh Jackman in "Les Miserables". As for Jessica Biel, she's eye candy. She'll never be an Emma Stone or a Natalie Portman.

James Mangold, what an odd bird that one is. I love "Copland", "Girl Interrupted" and "Walk the Line" but when he sucks he gives us stuff like "Identity". The fact that this "Wolverine" is being based off of the Chris Claremont/Frank Miller comic is encouraging, though. That's a minor classic in the super hero pantheon. It's no "Watchmen" or "The Dark Knight Returns" but it's still a good yarn.
-
...and call it The Jessica Biel. Nothing against Jackman or Wolverine of course, but give the people what they want.
