Behold The Entirety Of Hans Zimmer's DARK KNIGHT RISES Score -- Free, Legally, And Now!!

Via the embed below...the whole of Hans Zimmer's score to THE DARK KNIGHT RISES music, brought to us by the folks over at Empire. I can't believe there's a track called Batman and Gordon Die Horribly. I'm kidding...
The score CD releases officially next week, and is available for pre-order HERE (it's getting a vinyl release as well?!)

"Batman and Gordon Die Horribly" is almost as good as the "Blake's middle name is Robin" track.
by Chris
ALMOST.

But I especially love the title track "Bruce and Selina at a cafe" at the end.

Excellent theme for Bane.

Fuck you, Merrick, the naive idiot in me fucking lost it when I read your faux-track title
by Dharma4
Well-played, sir. Well played. -Namaste-
-
Want to put it on my shelf next to my VHS of The Dark Knight.
-
can anyone understand what they are chanting at the end?
-
man was Gary Oldman good in the Professional!
-
.... no death metal remix of 'Swear to MMMMEEEEE!!!!'?
-
I will be listening to this later!
-
I haven't listened to it all yet but just wanna know if that chant that's been in basically all the trailers is in there and on which track? I haven't heard it on any of the 30sec previews we've heard.

BOMP...dee-dee...BOMP...dee-dee...BOMP...dee-dee...BOMP-BOMP-BOMP
by Nasty In The Pasty
Repeat for 2 3/4(!) hours.
-
At the halfway mark of Gothams Reckoning. Maxrabes the chant is "De-shi De-shi Basara Basara" I was one of those nerds who did the online "record your voice" for it they had up a few months ago. I like to think my voice made it in (probably not though)
-
Just gets me pumped up and love the mix of earlier BB and TDK thrown in.
-
Bomp de Bomp?
-
I know -- same composer and same director but I hear hints of the Inception sound track. I'd like to think they're in the same universe.

If vinyl is for hipsters then god bless hipsters for keeping a superior format alive.

Those who know, know. Go to a high-end audio boutique and listen to a "record". If you don't know what the fuck I'm talking about, it will blow your mind. You will think "why don't people know about this?"

an emotional, haunting, dramatic, heroic soundtrack...The Avengers lacked this!

-
so I feel like this is a bit of a spoiler...Fuck it, it's awesome!!
-
Great composer.
-
And its found in at least three tracks, I believe. -Namaste-
-
I approve of this.
-
just choked me up...I can only imagine how this ends. The word on the streets is that THIS IS IT. Please avoid spoilers guys, this is the last chance to go into this film pure.
-
It's awesome. I'm a little sad there isn't more of that strange, haunting melody from the start of the "Gotham's Reckoning" track -- it's been in my head constantly since I saw the last trailer. I hope it's more prominent in the film.

This is it? What does that mean? Word on the street? huh?
by NathanGrey
You mean Nolan saying he is done, his wife saying he is done...is word on the street?
-
Then convert it to mp3.
-
I have played all 14 of the 15 tracks available. They are amazing works of orchestration and power. However, I notice that track number 4 is not available.... wonder what it has in it?
-
I know that Nolan and his wife, Emma Thomas have said "this is it". What I mean by word on the street is that in interviews with various members of the cast & word from the crews that worked on the Wall Street shoot (I live in NY and have friends in the industry), Nolan wants to wrap this up and move on, unlike Michael Bay who promised that "Dark Of The Moon" was his last Transformers and look what happened... DAMN YOU MICHAEL BAY!!!!!!!!!
-
... if it wasn't buffering every 10 seconds.
-
Bane Wins, the Heroes Die was especially strong.

Imagine how good Nolan's Batman movies could have been in the hands of a better director, editor, and screenwriter. Lots better, I imagine.

Fuck, Chris Nolan should just direct a Metal Gear movie already.
by noiretblanc
His Batman movies basically play and sound like one anyway.

Imagine how good Nolan's Batman movies could have been in the hands of a lesser director, editor, and screenwriter.
by A_Banned_Apart
It's easy if you try.
-
Nolan is the only guy who can do the Metal Gear saga any justice. Gotta admit, even though the gameplay is hugely different (plus there's no Snake), really looking forward to Metal Gear Rising.
-
the previous two were collaborations with zimmer and howard. I'm not complaining, mind you, i f'n love hans zimmer. but i actually really liked the sentimental stuff howard put in the other scores.
-
just use a stream downloader such as HiDownload. and it's even legal:)

It's a shame the great music from the 2nd half of Trailer 3 isn't included
by Rebel Scumb
must have been recorded just for the trailer, very stirring though was hoping it would be included
-
That song is the new Imperial March of the new generation!
-
Guess Nolan finally let Zimmer use more than two chords this time. Baaaahhhh BAAAAAAAHHHHHMMMMM!
-
Means someone'll post a 24-Bit, 96Khz rip :) I like it, though seems a bit too much of a "best of" on some tracks. This soundtrack could be album edits though (As was Batman Begins for the most part). Hope a real score release sees the light now that the shows over. Oh &... ICH ICH VASA VASA, ICH ICH VASA VASA... great.
