Season 1 of sledge was great. The second was still fun and a few nods to film noir episodes.. But the reduced budget kind of ankled the show.. I would recommend Jagged Sledge and State of Sledhe off hand.. There was also a hitchcock themef train episode.. I believe called comrade. Hammer. Also the one where sledge has to bring in his. Former partner. The one he loses his gun.. Or the one where Doreau thinks she is sledge are also fun. And.. While you cam say sledge shared a sense of humor with police squad. Sledge was never imcompetent.. He was like Dirty Harry on stetoids where most of the humor is milked from.

Just looked him up in IMDb to see what he's been up to lately. He was in MIB 3 as Agent X! I've avoided that movie like the plague, but now I'll have to rent it just to see how Inspector Sledge Hammer is holding up.

Get Smart and Sledge Hammer are the two greatest spoof shows and the only ones to run longer than just a few episodes. I agree with the guy that recommended State of Sledge. Very brace and ahead of its time.

My sentiments exactly. If you like "Sledge Hammer," seek out "Police Squad!" to see how it's really done.

And when "Police Squad!" became a movie, it actually imitated "Sledge Hammer!" The "Police Squad!" pilot was funny, but watch all six in a row and you can see why it could have never run long.

Kate Kelton had the same major I did. While she was extremely easy on the eyes, I must say I never liked her much, she was usually quite full of herself. I recall her saying that she would never, ever, work with David Fincher ....oooookay. I am sure she has changed her tune now that she is a working actress. I suppose good for her for landing a series. Despite my personal misgivings about one of the leads, I'll give this a shot, I remember Sledge Hammer was hilarious.

Used to love those shows. Got the first season of Sledge Hammer, will have to give it another spin. Agreed that Dori was HOT!
