Now I am A Lifelong Fan of The Classic Television Series DALLAS and I Thought The 2012 Continuation of Dallas was Very Very Impressive!! It Both Honored The Original but was Also Different Enough in All The Right Ways That Needed to be. I Deeply Hope it will go on to become BRILLIANT Entertainment Just Like The Original Dallas!!!!!!

Even if the marathon runs 10 hours, if the channel has commercials no way can they run the whole thing without massive edits. Not sure of the exact run time but I do know some episodes run longer than an hour, some a bit under, so I figure the whole thing evens out to an average of one hour per episode. But with 10 - 15 or so minutes of commercials each hour they would either have to make serious cuts or only run 7 or 8 of the 10 episodes. Doesn't make sense. What's the point of airing 70% of a mini-series? Like Palewook said, do it right or not at all.

And ended up watching 7 straight hours of John Adams. I really enjoyed it when it premiered ... and it was even better this time around. Makes you realize what a worthless pile of pussy drainage this country has become in less than 300 years. If you told the Founding Fathers we'd have a nation that lays down and gets 50% of their earnings raped in taxes every year and claps when the gubment passes a bill like Obamacare destined to take even more, they'd probably have just said fuck it and forgotten the whole thing.

If the Founding fathers knew the average lifespan would increase by 30 years, that every noob could own a gun instead of a well regulated militia, that multi-billion dollar corporations could influence government I think they would say, "We're screwed." oh and Adams was a Federalist so they're kinda about strong central federal government.

Yeah John Adams is an awesome movie! And I totally agree with you on all of your other points. I read the Declaration of Indipendance to my family tonight before fireworks and a few things stuck out to me that made me shake my head about things today. But this country has gone though a lot in the past and made it, so Hopefully we can stand up just like the founding Fathers did fix things.

There wasn't any celebrating for me. My cat hasn't been feeling well. Took him to the vet version of an E.R. They took some blood, ran tests and the poor guy has feline leukemia. I have to put him down tomorrow. Little guy was only 15 months.

I know better than to try to recommend reading material to anonymous posters on aintitcool, but just because Adams was a Federalist does not mean he recommends a "strong Federal government". Most of the Federalists did not. Source - eveything they ever wrote or said, specifically the Federalist Papers. They recognized the need for a Federal government to keep the independant states from splitting apart, but the very fabric of our country was forged by people who distrusted and hated government in most all its forms. And the second amendment meant exactly what it says, an intrinsic right to keep and bare arms - not to act as a militia against an invading force, but to protect oneself from government oppression. It's about the most airtight thing in the constitution. As for paying 50% in taxes, consider the taxes you pay for local property taxes, state income taxes, federal income taxes, sales taxes, gas and energy taxes ...

Um... you are an idiot if you really and truly believe that. Just because you and your welfare claiming barefoot kinfolk aren't paying anything doesn't mean the rest of us aren't. For some of us, once you figure in all the sales tax, property tax, state license fees, state registration fees, payroll taxes, income taxes, taxes on gas, alcohol, tolls, hotel & motel tax, rental car tax, taxes at the airport.... etc, etc, etc... our TRUE effective tax rate hovers somewhere in the 70% range. So, with that being said... go fuck yourself.
