AICN Exclusive! Sly And Statham Get Back To Work In The First Clip From THE EXPENDABLES 2!

The world's most formidable band of mercenaries is back this August in THE EXPENDABLES 2, and this time they're out to avenge one of their own - kind of like in THE AVENGERS, but with a body count somewhere in the RAMBO range (pick a RAMBO, any RAMBO - aside from FIRST BLOOD). And they're off to a bullet-whirring, blood-spurting head start in this exclusive clip, which reintroduces us to Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), and dying. Check it out!
That's Liam Hemsworth sniping away as Bill "The Kid" Timmons.
I'm in! THE EXPENDABLES 2 hits theaters on August 17, 2012. It's directed by Simon West, who did the all-star action orgy to near perfection with CON AIR. Sly and Statham are once again joined by Arnold, Bruce, Jet, Dolph, Terry and Randy - with Van Damme and Norris entering the fray. Let's get it on!

The first wasn't that great....though I saw the extended cut with the bullshit Shinedown song playing over the final action sequence, but it was still enjoyable enough for an afternoon watch with my pops. Hope this is even better.

Looking forward to this! And yes... I dont care that they ripped off the the finger thing from THE LOSERS, because the star of that film ripped off Robert Downey Jnr's face. You think you're gonna see Robert Downey Junior and you get Jeffrey Dean Morgan. It took till the end credits rolled to realize it wasnt actually Downey Jnr, the clone fuckers even got that triple part name thing going on.

... new director, same writer. As much as I love Stallone, his scripts for E1 and Rambo 4 was bad (no chemistry or good jokes in E1 at all). But he knows action and he knows how to shoot a scene. So why didn't he stay in the director's chair and get a new writer. Get Shane Black on board!

People complaining about one-liners and over the top action don't get the movie. They're not making an arthouse film, it's a throwback to the cheesy (yet fucking enjoyable) 80s action films. Enjoy it as such or skip it. I found the first one to be fucking

There are plenty of PG-13 movies that show blood, idiot. Hell there are TV shows with a TVPG rating that show blood from gunshot wounds. Sly heard the outcry when it was revealed that Expendables 2 was PG-13 so he added some post production CGI blood. LAME!!!

... one of which was an extension of an action scene where Van Damme and Scott Adkins take on a bunch of guys (not sure who, it sounded like they were misc good guys, not The Expendables cast. Adkins mentioned it in an interview. Some of the cast weren't available for the pick-up shoot but Adkins and Van Damme were. Not sure who else got some new violence. Hopefully there's more for Arnold too.

Hell I'd fight to see Statham as Wolverine in the full mask and spandex too..Just look at the jaw on that action figure advertisement on this site...That's got Statham written all over it..He's got the physique...The attitude..Statham gets my money for that role or I'll do it myself...Jackman is crap...All I can see with Jackman is Joseph's Dreamcoat guy trying to act tough...Is Jackman a homosexual? Also I'd like to know who they fired to give Jackman the role... On another note..chinese television: Same 58 channels with nuthin' on ..except it is ALL chinese people and chinese programming..So as a viewer you are left with a general impression that chinese people do EVERYTHING in the world and the rest of the world is just a freak minority...They do have one channel now that perhaps dedicates 50-70% of it's programming to international fare (consider that you have an entire world's programmiing available..and they air "deathrace" and "friends" )..That's where I saw "Deathrace"....even "Green Lantern".

I think I'd work the crud out that audition....Have them give me their growls..and bubs...gnashes and fangs...Still think Statham would walk with my vote in the end...West has a little bit of Jackman "flair" in the photo's I've seen...I definitely kind of puke at the thought of wolverine having any "flair" whatsoever onscreen or off-screen..ya know?
