Why do Americans say Robinhood as one word?

Play the 'I just really Love' drinking game and you wont make it to the end of the Episode

Why do Americans say Robinhood as one word? They don't. Your name pretty much tells us what kind of person you are, and luckily what you type confirms it.
-

Wow thats such a Sting Man of vertue. such.a.sting.
by harryknowlesnothingaboutfilm
It SOUNDS like one word RobinHood. British People cut the N harsher so it separates but Americans stretch the N so it segues into the Hood. glad you agree with my username like so many that come to this site. as for yours. it tells me that you must be.... Oh my god a Man of Vertue which means .....damn thats clever clever stuff.
-
You obviously love what you do and I'm glad you have the common sense to ignore the sad little internet trolls who think it's fun to come here and bash you. You know for a fact that the bullies who put others down are the very same ones who are depressed about their lives and have to beat up on other people to feel better about themselves. It's cliched, but true. Of course, I've opened myself up for the same kind of abuse, but I've got thick skin. Whatever you say, I bet you I've heard way worse. All I'm asking for is to see some constructive criticism on here for a change. Wouldn't that be refreshing see?

BTW I have nothing against Vertue Yachts they are my favorite type of yacht.

Its Robin (short space) Hood. Nice to see Night of the Demon, getting some love, I fucking love that film.
-
I assume your name is a play on words using Harry's name and implying that he knows nothing about film, right? If so, why do you come to his website that covers films? And more specifically, why come to an article written by Harry himself? Is the answer to that is 'Because I want to put him down?' If not, please do tell us.
-
An interesting idea. however just saying you love something because you...love something is just filling air. Harry is the Headgeek he knows more than most of us have forgotten about nerdy stuff. Go MORE nerdy, more geeky, really weird unheard of tales and strange stuff. The Kong Bomb was a good example, the fact that it exists is so surprising and to see it in colour in the present day was great. The Trumbull episodes, fantastic he could have an hour all to himself and you would still only scratch the surface. But saying, this is a nice poster, this is a nice toy. The Adventures of Robin Hood is a great film.... we know these things. Push the envelope a bit more if you are going to do more of these types of episodes is all I am saying.
-
I have written for this site. I have been around Aint it Cool for the best part of 15 years in some shape or form. This site is my homepage and I am here everyday under one name or another. Harry doesnt mind the feedback if its constructive and the odd joke never goes amiss either. And Harry can fight his own battles if he needs to. Well done for getting the play on words. smart cookie.
-
Oh, I apologise. If you've been around that long and use the site as your home page, then you've obviously earned the right to troll here. I'll mind my own business next time.

Can you post the link(s) for the work you've contributed to AICN please? To have mentioned it in your response it must be pretty good stuff, and I'd love to see how much of a 'smart cookie' you are. Humbly awaiting your response...

harryknowlesnothingaboutfilm - I second that- do you have anygting in the archives we could read?
by Michael Lunney
-
Well it's written under a different name and if I linked to them then it would compromise both of these identities. I guess without proof all my arguments hold no water. Trust me it's all fabulous and doesn't criticize anyone in anyway that other people that are not or are nothing to do with that person would pretend to find offensive so they can act all vertusly (sorry for not knowing how to rewrite your misspelling ) over it. guess I have been hoisted by my own retard.

mcgootoo - glad someone else is eager to read his work too
by Mister Vertue
He's obviously an intelligent person as he's able to sarcastically say things such as 'it tells me that you must be.... Oh my god a Man of Vertue which means .....damn thats clever clever stuff' and 'Well done for getting the play on words. smart cookie' And we can also assume that he's good friends with Harry as he can speak on his behalf - 'Harry doesnt mind the feedback if its constructive' And on top of all of that he's written for the illustrious AICN. We shouldn't question his words if he's done that. We await with bated breath.
-
Mine is also a play on words. It's known by those in the know.

harryknowlesnothingaboutfilm - compromise your identities?
by Mister Vertue
Are you a secret agent or something? It's a website about movies. Unless one of those names happens to be your real name (in which case I'd perfectly understand - I sure as hell wouldn't give my real name out on here) then I guess I'm just not 'smart' enough to understand. And the word you were looking for is 'virtuously', but typos and misspellings are okay, I do them too - 'Is the answer to that is 'Because I want to put him down?' If not, please do tell us.' I really didn't need that extra 'is' in there, did I?

Don't you have to get to school or something?

This week's episode deals with alot of things that have been in my home for forty years, or more... the final shot is of the family in our Hyde Park, Austin home on the night of October 31st, 1975 (my mom's B-Day). Yep, that's a lil' green Harry creature in ol' Father Geek's arms along with his late mom Helen as a "Rocky Horror" type. I'm wear'n my self applied "Night of the Living Dead" makeup for the party we were throwing that evening. There's an elite few of you readers & facebook friends that were there that night... remember? Annnd a few more of you who were with me the next morning at a Houston Mini Con... drove there straight from the party in the wee morning hours of November 1st as you see me.
-
That didn't even make sense. And now you're just skirting around matters. Are you going to address the questions put to you? You don't have to, but it would be nice to get some answers. And please don't resort to calling me a child. I'm obviously not, and you've 'been around Aint it Cool for the best part of 15 years in some shape or form', so I'm sure you're capable of better than that.
-

Are we getting a little confused mr vert?
by harryknowlesnothingaboutfilm
If you took time to read the comments I have addressed your questions. If it doesn't make sense I am trying to be as clear as I can. What's wrong with going to school? A day without education is wasted. ( and it would seem that days of education are wasted on some) I feel sorry for your loss but that's all you are going to get.

by harryknowlesnothingaboutfilm
he has probably never gotten to first base with anyone. It would be such an honor. I think that.... Oh I can't be bothered anymore.
-
Especially not on Tau Day.
-
that Harry doesn't hide his opinions behind a username
-
And why was that aimed specifically at me? I like what Harry is doing here and was merely saying how sad it was that some choose to come here and ridicule him and say negative things (without giving constructive criticism). Plenty of people come here and give their opinions using a username. What's that got to do with anything previously discussed here?
-
is that you are criticising Harryknowsnothing.. about hiding behind his username while doing exactly the same yourself. Why should he come out when you haven't? And yes, I am hiding too, but then I am not claiming anything.
-
I merely wanted to read what he's written. I'm not asking anyone to 'come out'. I'm sure he's more than capable of speaking for himself. And please note his username. He's criticising Harry in his very name, so why you're aiming your comments at me is confusing to say the least.

by Sprell

That is all.
-
You suggested his criticisms were enabled (were "trolling") because he was hiding behind a name, a particular name that criticised Harry. Yes, OK, he does that. But that's rich for someone largely known on the same site for the implication that he is Steven Moffat. For the record I don't think you are, but I recall you did little to discourage the speculation that this was the source of your (alleged) insider knowledge a year or so back. I still think your denials (including today) are a little two faced - the very username you employ for instance (yes, we know Sue Vertue is Steven Moffat's wife). So it is a bit pot calling the kettle black to go on about trolling mate. Sorry, but it is true.

Harry, how is the blu ray transfer of Flynn's ROBIN HOOD?
by Logan_1973
-
Mr V. Do you agree with everything your friends and family do? Do you hold with all their opinions ? This username came from mine and Harry's differing opinions on the film Inception and I use it from time to time to voice opinion as everyone is entitled to do. I do love this site but sometimes Harry's shall we say enthusiasm is a little grating and he's a much better writer when he is more objective and a better presenter when he is with someone else. Would your honestly rather watch him talk to Ernie Kline and Trumbull or go through his poster collection for 15 minutes? I don't make fun of his weight or his hair or his family unlike others just point out how he could make things better for the site and for the readers and viewers. I know Mr V from various talkbacks and he can get way too preachey for his own good and decided to pick up on that. I know he isn't Mr Moffat just some kid somewhere pretending to be more than he is. That's fine we all do that from time to time but address the issues at hand construct a relevant criticism and talk about that rather than over reacting to a comment than wasnt intended for him or about him.
-
Keep on geeking on stuff you love! It's really contagious!
-
So much love for this movie. Dana Andrews: spot on, Niall McGinnis: double spot on, story: triple spot on. They wanted Harryhausen to create the demon, but he was busy on a Sinbad movie. The opening of 'The Hounds of Love' by Kate Bush, (It's in the trees...It's coming!) is sampled from this film. And it was made for peanuts. A fucking marvellous old horror based on a scary (they all were) M.R. James story. Young geeks take note, this is a gem.
-
keep it cool
-
It looks like the Coens have shot this rumour down sadly, but for a minute there, I was overjoyed. Now that's a sequel I'd be glad to see, but Joel & Ethan don't strike me as the sequelling kind.
-
I understand you are trying to keep it fresh and improvised, but you repeat phrases a lot and verbally pause too much. You should edit some of that out. Love the enthusiasm, though. And I wouldn't mind if you did many more shows about what swag you have.

" This site is my homepage and I am here everyday under one name or another. " Why do you feel the need to have different names? Also I do think Harry knows a thing or two about film ( he knows a great sword fight whe he sees it! ). Sorry but I think we're lucky to have someone who cares about the same stuff we do and to run a website dedicated to it. Sorry if this bothers you.
-
Nice!! I may need to sell a kidney this fall, but nice!! http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=9036
-
One of my favorite films of all time since I was a kid. My dad and I used to watch it and sword fight with plastic swords after seeing it. And you're right the pivitol fight between Tyron Power and Basil Rathbone is just the best / most realistic sword fight of the old swashbuckler films ( Power was also my favorite Zorro of all time ). What's really funny is I grew up in a middle sized town in Oregon and when Barbarella was released They rated it XXX in the local theater ( for what? )! It was 1968. Anyway My mother had to go with me so I could see it ( I was 15 )! Loved the episode Harry keep it up!

CURSE OF THE DEMON is an awesome film. That demon is scarier than any CGI movie monster I've ever seen.
by Mark Williams
-
What town was that? I'm an Oregon Native. That story is funny, as, well fuck. Rated XXX, and your mom still took ya. Good mom there.
-
It had some fun stuff, but going with my gut reaction on this. The photo at the end was a nice touch though.
-
Who the hell is David Jennings? and why is he in Barbarella? Is he related to Brian Cox? Did he also appear in Alien? Did his character BLOWUP in any of his movies? Was he considered for the role of JUGGERNAUT? When he rips his pants, does he know how to use HEMMING tape? .... I have nothing
-
Is real deal your real name? I doubt it (if it was that would be very strange unless you married into it or something) should this site 'go all warcraft' and try to make us have our actual names (and helpful contact details) on every post? and try to tell me that there is not one thing ONE thing that Harry has ever said or done or name dropped or etc etc. that has not annoyed you and you have not commented on or wanted to but maybe felt to scared to air your opinion for fear of getting trolled at for having an actual point of view that differs from the heard. At this point I am supposed to say 'I am sorry for having an opinion that differs from yours' but truly I am not. I am glad of it.
-
You sound like a butt-hurt pansy. May I ask, when you started contributing to this site, is that when it started to go downhill? Grow a pair. Just ribbing ya, champ.
-
yeah this site is a bit of dive and behind the times. but I have never read such vitriol and utter distain for basically everything in the world of geek culture anywhere else on the net. sometimes its good natured. but more often than not its like a load of monkeys on bath salts. and thats why I come.
-
No, I agree. It is part of the fun, though. But, Yes, There be Trolls, Assholes, and true Filmfans, in these parts. Watch where you step. Or, should I call you Harry :)
-
Oh, but you just **love** it when people infer that you are, don't you? That's why you have that particular user name and spend most of your AICN time in the Docbacks hinting that you're kinda-maybe "part" of the Doctor Who production team but you couldn't possibly comment and you may or may not know that there are some awesome things coming up in the new series but you're not allowed to tell anyone, I know things that you don't know, blahblahblah. It's **obvious** you're not Steven Moffat, no matter how much you'd like to imply it with your man_of_sue_vertue name. You're simply not smug enough. Moffat left the OG forums shortly before taking over the series because he simply didn't have the time for online bollocks, so anyone who thinks he's flopping his dick around AICN in the hopes of an ego-jobby is deluded. Besides, Moffat would make best use of his time by improving his scripts, because they've been **massively shite** of late.

Well said, old chap. Glad to see it isn't just me feeling that way.

Harry, have you ever done a corner animation of your head on the dog hybrid from Body Snatchers?
by SergeantStedenko
-
You need to do more like this one! I think it would be really cool if you did themes, like an all Sci-Fi memorabilia run through... showing your collectibles through the ages. Maybe a James Cameron or George Lucas run through! Also, I'd love to see poster artists like Drew Struzan or the fine fella's at Mondo on - I'd love to see them do some cool work. P.S. Where's the TV poster love? You need a BATTLESTAR GALACTICA poster. Try to talk Tyler Stout into making THAT! -Chris
-
Harry, I'm loving this video series and this episode. I don't post often on your site but I'd like to take a moment to tell you how much I appreciate the way you share your enthusiasm for fantastic film, comics, books, tv, etc. Your unabashed joy in this creative field is infectious. I can't wait for the Barbarella Blue-Ray and the upcoming Universal monster movie releases are must haves as well. Like many of your readers, I'd love to buy you a beer sometime. Keep it up my friend. -John.
-
Seriously no offence Man of Vertue but 'I'm not Moff or would never call myself the Moff' yet I'll lurk around the Docbacks, giggle I know something you don't know consistently, invoke the guys WIFES name as a play on words and not really disclose anything that couldn't be gleaned from Twitter production snippets from the canteen lady.
-
Of course Real Deal isn't my real name. However it's my only one here so you can always tell who it is. I don't have the need or inclination for multiples. Also Has Harry ever said anything that has annoyed me? No. Have we had a difference of opinion? Of course. Did it annoy me ? No. However your handle does. Have a nice day.
-
That would be the state capitol Salem Oregon. Home of retired state workers. Jack Nicholson once said during an interview in the Rolling Stone about spending 3 days in Salem ( while filming One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest ) something like ( I'm not entirely sure I've got the quote right since it was a long time ago ) " Spending 3 days in Salem is like spending two weeks in a wet paper bag ". However I've lived here most of my life ( lived in Portland for awhile at one time ) so I must like something about it. My family comes from Salem also. And yes Salem was pretty conservative during the 60's and 70's. Where are you from?
-
" but I have never read such vitriol and utter distain for basically everything in the world of geek culture anywhere else on the net. " If you're speaking of the talkbacks I totally agree.
-
And yes my mom was pretty cool about things like that. My parents were both liberals and didn't have a problem with a movie that probably wouldn't be showing at the now defunct Capitol theater ( or was it the Elsinore? ) and be really rated XXX. It was a long time ago.
-
Was it a product sold at some gift shop in Disneyland? Was it made for you? Purchased from a collector? Or did you steal it from the Madam herself? Interested in the story behind it. Loved the Alan Smithee reference at the end, and the photo at the very end. Wonderful. Keep it up, man. These are very entertaining.
-
Why bother with ANYTHING anymore? Just so dull. If you can't name 10 great things in the last 10 years, your opinion is uneducated. You're just cynical and that's it. You're not paying attention. And these videos are VERY entertaining. Not a damned thing wrong with them. He started off maybe a tiny bit shaky, but that all cleared up over time. Just... I don't even know anymore. Just do what you want and I'll ignore you I guess.

real deal I used to go to Salem for various reasons when I was a wee lad.
by gotilk
I lived in Eugene, basically a college town, VERY different from Salem. Loved it there in Eugene and Springfield/Mohawk/Marcola. But hated going to Salem. I don't even remember why specifically, I just remember being bummed when we had to go. I remained in the Eugene area until I was almost 13. I still miss it. I might even move back eventually.

It was like the best episode of either "Storage Wars" or "Hoarders" ever.

Real deal. I am glad something annoys you. It shows you have emotional range.
by harryknowlesnothingaboutfilm
You can't have the sweet without the sour. if you blandly accept most things people will stop trying so hard and in turn so will you so good get a bit riled sometimes it will do you good. Have a nice and not so nice day. And the good things will seem better.
-
Do you know what really gets me annoyed? Arguing through obfuscation. Trying to justify simple trolling. " if you blandly accept most things people will stop trying so hard and in turn so will you so good get a bit riled sometimes it will do you good. " Uh huh. And no I don't blandly ( or blindly ) accept what people are trying so hard to tell me ( like Harry doesn't know anything about film ). So far you've inplied that Harry has done things that should annoy me or that somehow this site is something I should get annoyed at. So far you haven't given a single concrete example. Come on and admit it. You're just here because either : A. Someone here has done something to you that you didn't like. Or B. You're just here for your jollies and are trying to appear clever ( simple trolling at it's finest ). Either way no one's buying today. Now you have a nice day.
-
" It was like the best episode of either "Storage Wars" or "Hoarders" ever. " Now that's funny. However Harry has nothing on my wife.
-
Yes the big difference between Salem and Eugene ( which used to be slightly larger than Salem in pop. but not anymore ) is culture. More music, more art, more of everything of that type. Eugene was looked at as " Hippy town ". I always found it a refreshing change. However the serial recessions have taken their toll on the local economy down there. The really neat walk through downtown mall is struggling the last time I was there ( the last time I was there a lot of the shops had gone out of business albeit that was a few years ago now ). If it wasn't for the U of O things would probably be very tight. Salem really has gotten better over the years. It took a different approach and installed covered sky bridges in the downtown core. This helped spur business there. It's gotten a large enough demographic now that it has to provide other types of attractions. Thanks to Willamette University there's a real museum and the Oregon Symphony and plays and lectures on campus. I recently saw Carolyn Porco of the Cassini imaging team ( Saturn and Titan ) there. There's also the Pentacle Theater for live stage productions. So it is improving. But yes it's true through most of my youth Eugene had the cultural edge. I suppose one of the big things that had a cultural effect on Salem in my youth is its much closer to Portland than Eugene so if you want culture it wasn't far away. Now that really is a place that's making a name for itself. Portland is gaining ground in attracting film productions. Everyone around here talks about Grimm and how great it is to have a popular network TV show that takes place with real locations around Portland. I really don't want to give my hometown a bad rap as I do like Salem it just needed something more when I was growing up. And for two towns of a similar size and so close geographically they were very different in the 60's and 70's. One very conservative and one fairly liberal. That's changing now.
-
I'm extremely jealous of the Ymir cyclops figure from Sinbad! That really is cool.

Real deal: then we are in agreement you have your opinions I have mine. We both have equal rights to express them unless you have a problem with that notion?
by harryknowlesnothingaboutfilm
I don't need you to make me look clever. And you don't need me to make you look stupid.
-
I have no problem with you expressing your opinion. You could be a little more mature and civil about the whole though. Your handle being the prime example. You've mentioned Inception. Just because your opinion in this instance is different ( I'm guessing that since you've been a bit sparse on the reasoning ) from Harry's doesn't mean that Harry knows nothing about film. Don't you think that statement in your handle is a bit strong? And of course you had to insult me in the process by calling me stupid. It makes me want to ask " How old are you? "
-
June 30, 2012, 4:42 p.m. CST
To quote another ' mature and civil does not exist in this dojo'
by harryknowlesnothingaboutfilm
I am addressing you in kind that is all. My comments if you have read them all were initially directed at Harry. He asked what we thought of this type of podcast and I gave him my opinion. Others said they liked it, that's fine. Someone else just wrote no thanks.. Again it's up to them. A few took umbridge at my comments why me in particular who knows. Admittedly some are judging by their time stamps and other data are from the same people also with more than one username. So they are just arguing with themselves, again that's all in good fun. Is my username worse than dannygloversdickblood? Worse than natalieportmansyummyafterbirth? Worse than Winonryderspussyjuice? And so on I don't think so. Some would say that your name real deal is terribly offensive as you are which ever way you look at it not whatever the real deal is. It's relative opinion. As for age that has nothing to do with maturity or anything else apart from driving, drinking or owning a gun.
-
Anyways, Real Deal: Grew up outside of Portland, lived in Corvallis for a spell, and now reside in Talent, Outside of Ashland. What up Gotlik. Bunch of Oregonians in here.
-
Harry didn't like Inception, and like Godzilla. Your name has merit.
-

Real deal. Isn't 'whatever' latin for I can't think of anything else to say?
by harryknowlesnothingaboutfilm
I make my point clear and thats all I get.. That's fine. That's good. Seems we have reached a detente. Whatever indeed. And you ask me how old I am?
-
There is no world, except Harrys' brain. I'm torn. I like harryknowlesnothingaboutfilm, and real deal.

I like real deal too. I don't like some of Harry's opinions, reviews and choices.
by harryknowlesnothingaboutfilm
If someone had a argument about a piece of media that I didn't agree with I would say so. It seems real deals problem is that I have a pop at the headgeek and somehow that's not allowed?
-
This is what I imagined an AICN show would be like :-) Also, a post above triggered me to realise that i've been visiting AICN everyday for about 14 years. My appreciation of film began about 20 years ago but Harry has made it what it is today.
-
" It seems real deals problem is that I have a pop at the headgeek and somehow that's not allowed? " Not at all. I guess I shouldn't have lumped you into the same group that's been at Harry for just having this website and troll about everything. Fair enough? I'm in the group that's tired of the hate for hate's sake. I'm sure you've noticed who I'm talking about. Sorry for the mistake.
-
The floors in the Alamo Drafthouse must be slightly slanted with a drain, so Harry could piss himself when he falls asleep at films like Inception.
-
Sorry I'm doing this while getting ready to go somewhere.
-
would love to hang out in that basement with him and fathergeek.
-
" would love to hang out in that basement with him and fathergeek. " Me too! I'm really fond of this site as I've been coming here for about 10 or more years now. I may not always agree with Harry but I do more than not.

I am glad we all can agree on something.

Harry's blessing and curse is sometimes going a bit too far either in love love loving something or maybe not hating as such but feeling indifferent towards something. Ultimately none of us would be here on the site if it wasn't for his passion to put it together and keep it going for all this time. And maybe in some way I do feel a bit jealous of him, not for all his film friends and stories and cool stuff but more that he has a main line to his inner 12 year old and switches that on when he is watching a film. I can still lose myself in a film but I know too much about the industry now to feel true childlike wonder like I used to.
-
Look I'm sorry you've had the childlike wonder pulled out from under you. I really am because in a way it happens to all of us at one time or another. There are certain things that I can't quite muster the same joy about that used to really get me going. What I'm trying to say to you is that it happens to all of us to a certain degree and unfortunatly that's the way life works. It's kind of like the story of Peter Pan. When you're a kid you can almost believe in anything. As you get older the hard knocks and realization thrown in your face by the way people behave does tend to make one a bit jaded. In Peter Pan the thing that keeps you from going back to Neverland was growing up and not believing in magic anymore. For me I've read Science Fiction all of my life and here we are in the future ( the 21rst century! ) and well the future isn't what we thought it was going to be. It isn't even a horrible future. It's more of the same petty crap. We landed on the moon and haven't been back in over 40 years. What a waste. Instead we fight useless wars where it's really unclear why we're there in the first place. The thing that keeps me from losing the feeling of childlike wonder that you seem to be missing is that I know if I stop feeling that at all I might as well pack it in. So I force myself to ignore my jaded cynical side and don't let it get the better of me. I'm not always totally successful. But keepng some of that feeling alive is better than none at all. I refuse to give in. If Harry is really channeling his child like side still when he watches a film good for him. Not everyone can. At 59 I can still remember what that's like and I refuse to give that up entirely. You shouldn't either. Anyway I didn't mean to go all preachy on you but I hope it helps to know that we all experience what you're feeling about the film industry ( or anything else in life ) and the best approach is to meet it head on and refuse to let it get the better of you. Anyway it's late here so I hope this makes some small amount of sense. Life's really difficult at times but it still can be an adventure.

LOL! Exactly!

I agree on the one-word "Robinhood". Not as annoying as "MonniePY-thon" though.

-- and either you go for it, or you take the cowards way out. Then all you have to worry about is all the assholes.
-
.. transported me to a world of Masterchef (old skool, with Loyd Grossman. And is it just me or is Harry not a dead ringer for Buddy/Syndrome in The 'credibles ? Except I have to say that I found the whole video "episode" thing unbearable. I couldn't sit though more than a minute without wanting to hit the screen. STOP saying "I really love" STOP saying the same thing 3 different ways to fill the air with the sound of your own voice... "I really love this fight scene with Besil [sic] Rathbone and Tyrone Power. ... There's a scene between Besil [sic] Rathbone and Tyrone Power where they fight" No, really ? Is that what a fight scene is ? FFS Get a script writer or an editor or preferably both. And quit faking enthusiasm. Genuine enthusiasm is more engaging even if it comes over as less enthusiastic.
-
Although If you look though the talkback I have spent days trying to defend this position. To some it seems that Headgeek is beyond criticism and you may end up being labelled as a 'wannabe fan boy hater' I say voice your opinion, Harry may read the comments and make changes, its better for all of us then. we may get more good episodes and he may get to continue making them. I have no idea how they are funded or if he gets money for advertising or something, but they have high production value and that costs someone somewhere so yeah better episodes everyones a winner.
-
Keep up the good work, Harry.
-
" I say voice your opinion, Harry may read the comments and make changes, its better for all of us then. " Fair enough but how many of these has he done so far? It's obvious that he's trying different things to see what works and what doesn't. Some of us liked them for what they are. Perhaps at some point they'll be really polished but for right now some of us don't expect them to be anymore than they are. Also so far I think he's done pretty well for something new ( Douglas Trumbull was great! ). And by the way I don't think he was faking enthusiasm. Or jazzdownunder's comments about the way he pronounces things That's just being cynical for cynicism's sake. Lot's of people on tv and in the movies don't always get those right. So keep up the good work Harry! Some of us out there really appreciate what you're doing.
-
If you think Mitt Romney is the answer, then you're just as ignorant as those who support Obama. If not, I applaud you for knowing that both men are in the pockets of the corporations and special interests, and will do nothing for 99% of us.
-
...but if you vote for neither, you will get either. Maybe a single vote doesn't count, or a person places their conscience above all else. Either philosophy is valid, subjectively speaking. I choose the lesser evil of the choices. Better than complacency, I guess.
