Silk Spectre was SO SO GOOD. Drunk podcasting sounds like a brilliant idea, but it's a good thing Matt would be sober. Somebody would probably need to drive the bus from topic to topic, although, I imagine there would be some serious heckling directed toward him. The Ultimates universe is not redundant, Bug! Once upon a time, Marvel had tight continuity, progressive, lasting consequences, and death wasn't an evolving door! Doesn't a return to that sound nice!?! Give them a flip!! Exclamation marks!!! Optimus reading his own review was a bizarre, strangely-uncomfortable thing to hear. Probably more so for him to read. I have the alternate cover of JD's Cancer #1 pre-ordered. A blue, Avatar-looking testicle swinging a lightsaber and screaming 'There can be only one' has to be an instant classic, if only by virtue of all the veins and utility belt pouches alone. Spider-Men has some of the most stunning artwork/coloring of any comic on the shelves in recent history. Bendis' story is intriguing and entertaining. I usually balk at paying Marvel's cover price (especially for digital, my preferred medium), but for this I'll gladly shell out every month. Bravo!

He had come back during Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. In an arc where he took on Spider-Man and the new Mysterio at the time Francis Klum. It did appear he had some hell based powers given to him by un-named person. It played into the period were they were trying to make Spider-Man's powers be more cosmic or destiny based. But during Spider-Man arc, The Gauntlet he came back & claimed he had faked his Death and they never mentioned all that other stuff.

Spider-Men #1 for the win this week. Great fucking read. Batman & Robin too. I waited a few months to get started on the new Batman books so I had a sizeable chunk of material to read and I have to say, I wasn't disappointed. For the most part I really dislike the shit out of what DC is doing to their books, but I loves me some Batman, so it's good to see them NOT fucking that up at least.
