Oh well. I'll see it sometime. I rented the 1935 film adaptation of "Les Miserables". Probably be watching that tonight. It's a double-sided disc and the other side has the 1952 version. Two Movies, One Rental

Jere Burns as the other key figurehead of the "organization" was cool and all but too much of a disconnect was made for it to gel together in any satisfying way. Hopefully this new season makes up for it.

I guess it came out wrong - I was pretty nervous, and my book report generated a lot of unwanted titters- guess THAT was a mistake that was sorta traumatic! I loved Lost- really? skip the flashbacks?

I still like Burn Notice, but the formula is getting a little long in the tooth

Hopefully, they shake things up a bit this season with Fi in jail. I know USA loves those light formulaic shows especially in their summer series, but Burn Notice could use a good dark turn and possibly more of a different focus than the Michael helps the small guy getting burned by the bad guy of the week formula.

I just never got around to watching more than a couple episodes of the last season. I still enjoyed it. Just never got around to it. I wonder if that suggests that my interest has gotten tired in the show. Or I just didn't get around to it. Don't Know.

This show deserves more credit. It was great season 1, and tonight's season premiere added some welcome changes. This show will be one to watch going forward. It's a really fast paced drama with quick, witty dialogue. 3rd favorite show, only behind Breaking Bad and Justified.

It just got too strange. I'm sorry, but random weirdness is not comedy, even with Chris Elliott trying as hard as he can to make it funny.

I hear and agree with you. I remember when we got a whole slew of new specialty channels up here in Canada. They started out following their mission statement and now, nearly 20 years later are comprised of mostly reality shows that have little or nothing to do with what the channel was originally about. (Operation Repo on the Outdoor Life Network...seriously?) The problem, as I see it, is the specialty channels being continuously swallowed up by the bigger networks who are owned by even bigger corporations that care for nothing but the bottom line. You'd probably have a hard time finding individual investors with deep enough pockets.Chances are you'd be forced to make a deal with a company to get the initial funding who would end up selling their shares at some point, letting one of the bigger networks in and causing...well you know.

I was like what the hell Fiona turned herself in. When did that happen? Honestly I'd be glad if she stayed in jail or better yet was killed. I know that's his girl & all but I find the character more annoying than anything else.

Kill Fiona it would breath some fresh air into the staleness that was last season. I still love this show though.

A couple of other examples: "Dog the Bounty Hunter" on A&E, and "Ice Road Truckers" on The History Channel. One of the reasons I loved SNL's skit (digital short?) of Spike TV's promo for "Downton Abbey"; poking fun at this trend of specialty channels airing shows that have no business being on that channel.

I'm also in the camp that thinks Burn Notice has gotten too rote, but last night was a good start. Hopefully, they won't revert back to 'client of the week' once they settle the Fi situation. And I'm surprised by how much I like Suits...and by how liberal it is with the language...not typical for a USA show. Hopefully, they'll also do more with longer arcs, like with Gale Boetticher. That's one of my biggest criticisms of USA shows in the past--all the buildup for the longer arcs from the previous season is too tidily resolved in the season openers, and they quickly drop into the routine.

Eagleheart this season has really been a great combination of Tim & Eric-styled satire combined with Strangers With Candy off-the-wallness. Loved every minute of it. I'm going to now get out my bootleg DVDs of Get a Life.
