Here's Entertainment Tonight's 30 Second Preview of DJANGO UNCHAINED!
Nordling here.
I hate these Entertainment Tonight snippets. Give me all or nothing. That said, the full trailer premieres tomorrow on Fandango (or should it be Fandjango?) and I'm sure we'll have it up for you as soon as it hits the internet tubes. In the meantime, here's EW's 30 second taste:
Can't wait for the full trailer. Can't wait for the movie!

sorry bluesharpo, you gotta be more assertive.

I cannot wait. Two weeks after The Hobbit, too!
-
Oh wow. Ok yeah- this and Skyfall. The holiday movie season will not suck. Can't wait to see How Leo does with this years crop of Victoria secret models! Go Leo!
-
I kind of like the ET preview stuff, probably because I grew up watching ET since it first came on.
-
I know The Master comes out on 10/12 but it looks fantastic as well. I think Lincoln is 12/21.
-
loves his breakfast. Love Tarantino no matter what. You would be cinemas fool not to.

this is from ET (Entertainment Tonight, the tv show) not EW (Entertainment Weekly, the magazine)

of Clan Fett. But in a few years I'm sure ppl will be asking me if he's named after this movie.

Looks horrible to me.

Looks fun! I hope it's as dynamic as Inglorious Basterds...
by ThulsaBoom
...if there is anything in Django comparable to that opening interrogation, this just might be his masterpiece.

Deaftone, I once got banned for doing this with Tarantino's titles.

If it disappears, I'll be back in 90 days.

That is all.

The trailer came through our satellite into our server (Im a theatre manager). So I ingested it into one of the theatres, and voila! Don Johnson looks like Colonel Sanders... On a horse. It's awesome. Though, it's only one quick shot.
-
because I got banned for pointing out on at least 5 talbacks that every other movie website like comingsoon.net,collider,worstpreviews,joblo and so on reported that Francis Lawrence was directing Catching Fire and the story broke at like 12 noon on a Thu EST and Billy 'AICN' The Kidd did not post about it until that Monday at like 1pm EST. My original ID I had for many moons was Deaft0ne and I emailed quint to unban that one because I thuoght it was horseshit to ban me over pointing out this website's obvious shortcomings with being late on news most of the time when they know damn well it's true that they are as I was pointing out.

I really hate to say it, but did anyone else get a Wild, Wild West vibe?
by BadMrWonka
Nothing really looks like it belongs in the that era of the American south. It almost looks like a TV show. Not a bad one, but say, like an AMC show. I know it was just a few quick shots, but still. I guess I was expecting a little more grit to it.

Is this another freaking George Lucas screwing around with Star Wars project??

badmrwonka, I agree. Fox looks too modern w/ his hair short. Leo looks strange. Camera looks too "clean" or soemthing.

The only Oscar role from what I read in the script is that of Waltz's character.
by notcher
I doubt Leo gets a nod, he's not in the movie as much as one may think, so supporting would be the only way, but I don't think it's juicy enough. Even the role of Foxx isn't that juicy in terms of Oscar bait. Tarantino wrote this movie to thank Waltz for being so damn good in Basterds. Anyway, won't reduce my interest in the film. Was a GREAT read!!!

All Tarantino's films have that "it's SUPPOSED to look wrong" vibe to them.
by Ironhelix
So it's ok. It's supposed to look like that.

And his name is Franco Nero.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHskZOaL7fU
-
Alas no, because he'll also in all likelihood be getting consideration for the Great Gatsby as well, and as has fucked over many an actor including Leo, the two performances will split his votes equaling no shot at an Oscar.

Maybe they will just toss Leo a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for this

'Call me Maybe' is a very catchy song...all the kids are singing it...
by Titus05
and the celebs are spoofing it...the Ashley Tisdale, Selena Gomez and friends edition is the best

Agree that this does evoke WWW. Moreover, Di Caprio in these shots seems somewhat dull in comparison to Kenneth Branagh's maniacally evil nemesis. Of course, it is only about 20 seconds of footage.
-
(someone beat me to it)

Gentlemen and ladies, this ain't your grand daddies' Southern Comfort. Jus sayin... ; )

The script, in my opinion, is the best thing T's ever written. If he can even get 80% of that onto the screen, it'll be fantastic....although....
by dasheight
....I have to admit, I saw a much grittier-looking film in my head, in terms of the cinematography, but T's never made a film I didn't like. I'll forgive him for "Death Proof" being only half a good film, as it was made as a short originally and then expanded. But "Reservoir Dogs", "Pulp Fiction", "Jackie Brown", "Kill Bill 1 & 2", "Inglourious Basterds" - for me, the guy's never taken one wrong move (apart from his acting, heh). He makes movies for people who love movies. I've never not thoroughly enjoyed his films, so I have faith he'll be able to pull this off. He's dealing with some pretty incendiary material here, even though it's a very funny script. I have a feeling the right wing will lose their minds over a story of a black slave taking revenge on white slave owners. It'll be fun watching Faux News freak out over it.

This will be the best movie this year if the tradition continues. The tradition of Tarintino making the best movie every year he's made one
by UltraTron
-
That is so refreshing. Remember how great he was in Catch me if you can?He had fun with that role and it was a constant and pure performance. Love the guy, but it's nice to see that Tarantino has gotten him to lighten up and actually seem to be having fun. Oscar? We will find out in 2013.
-
Thought he had one of those cliche "showy" character supporting roles.

Ok Dicaprio is definitely looking Oscar worthy! I cannot wait to see this
by Wcwlkr
I can see that Dicaprio is going to be that Villain you can't wait to get his, but at the same time like the bastard. Similar to Denzel's Alonso Harris in Training Day. I'm looking forward to this.
