New THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Stuff - New Footage, A Running Time And A Batman Marathon!!

The Kidd here...

I'm not quite sure what you're doing with your life if you spent any of your time tonight watching the TWILIGHT MTV Movie Awards instead of the season finale of GAME OF THRONES and/or the penultimate episode of MAD MEN. After all, if you were really dead set on seeing the new footage of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES that Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale, Gary Oldman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt took to the stage to introduce... well, that's what the internet is for. Why make yourself sit through that entire show watching and waiting and suffering when you can snag a look afterwards painlessly (via Coming Soon)?

Looks like Bane will be more than happy to show us why Selena Kyle clearly fears him...

Furthermore, it appears we may have an official running time for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. If AMC Theatres are to be believed, then their listing of 2 hours and 45 minutes is what Nolan's Batman finale will be clocking in at, which should make for plenty of time to tie up all the loose ends to give this trilogy its definitive conclusion. Prep your nap time in line now, midnight screeners... you're going to need it for that late night on July 20th.

However, it won't be nearly as exhausting as the Batman marathon you knew was inevitable. Once again, it's AMC who'll be hosting a run of the Nolan films back-to-back-to-back, although that first "back" I'm assuming since it'd only make sense, but right now their announcement is only listing THE DARK KNIGHT and THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. (Did they forget about BATMAN BEGINS?) You can grab your tickets starting at 12:00 Noon EST for participating AMC locations which will be running the previous film(s) leading up to that midnight release of TDKR. That's nearly eight hours of Nolan's Batman, which should be extremely exhausting, but well worth it.

Are you getting excited yet?
