This movie floored me at SXSW. It's a documentary about how truth - real truth - is elusive and mercurial, like trying to grip water. The story of a lost little boy who returns home to San Antonio and the ramifications of that event, THE IMPOSTER asks tough questions and doesn't give safe, comforting answers. It opens across the country this summer, starting in July. I have an upcoming interview with the filmmakers, and I think THE IMPOSTER is one of the finest true-crime documentaries I've come across.
